>>

The heat sink, obviously. It won't come off.

Yeah, no

Put your dick between them
>>
let it run for a bit, and then try.
>>
Use as a timer and pretend you only have the time until the processor falls off to live. Accomplish everything you ever wanted to do, start a family, buy a house, travel the world, do whatever.

Or you can twist it off.
>>
>>45859282
Trying, but even when using full force it won't come off.

>>45859265
Dont want to hurt the CPU.

>>45859304
Are you sure heat would help?
>>
>>45859284
No really just give it a twist I've had this a few times
>>
twist harder nigga
>>
>>45859314
Of course I'm not sure, but that's the best option. If that doesn't work you're gonna have to drip 70%+ isopropyl alcohol between them slowly until it comes loose.
>>
Hold vertically, hold lighter about 2 inches away for about 15 seconds then try to pull off.

Twisting srsly doesnt work.
>>

You should have heated the CPU (benchmark, whatever) a bit before removing it.

nope, don't put that shit near your pc parts. iso alchy will evaporate but oil will just fucking up everything and attract dust etc.

How did the CPU manage to come out of the socket that it was locked in? Did you force it out of the socket? If so then its broken. Not worth saving the cpu

>>
>>45859707

>>
>>45859674
I had a friend that came to me with his CPU/heatsink disattached just like that, he pulled it off somehow. I know he did because I'm the one who put it together and it was working fine for like 4 months til that happened. Only difference is he had some bent pins on his, I'm guessing he tried to somehow remount it like that being stupid and shit.

This shit happened to me once with an AMD FX-8300 cpu that I had been using with some shitty $5 thermaltake cooler.

I swear the thermal paste on this thing was almost like krazy glue or something. I slightly bent a single pin trying to remove it but in the end I managed to set it back straight with a needle.
>>
I just use isopropanol when this happens to me, or acetone. But you can't get acetone in high purity so I would go for 99% alcohol.
