This shit happened to me once with an AMD FX-8300 cpu that I had been using with some shitty $5 thermaltake cooler.
I swear the thermal paste on this thing was almost like krazy glue or something. I slightly bent a single pin trying to remove it but in the end I managed to set it back straight with a needle.
I just use isopropanol when this happens to me, or acetone. But you can't get acetone in high purity so I would go for 99% alcohol.
