What's a good entry DSLR for less than $250 bucks?
I need one for taking pictures for my client's wordpress based site that I'm making.
I'm a fellow web developer.
You're not going to find a decent DSLR for 250$ unless it's a used body with no lens kit.

Oh, you mean old shit that was mediocre when it was new and has drastically depreciated in value? Yeah, then I guess that does fit.

Get a Nikon D-series or a Canon EOD, otherwise buy a point-and-shoot and don't waste your money.
OP, quickly get a pentax, they're the AK-47 of dslr, you can even have focus confirmation+stabilization while shooting with a jar.
You can get a D5000 with an 18-55 for that much dosh.

Get a used Sony, get yourself the standard kit lens 18-55 and either another zoom or a prime like the 35 1.8, you can also use some old minolta maxxum lenses, MD with adapter
a t2i is all you need. $250.00
now LENSES. that under $250? lmao don't kid yourself you may as well just get a lumia.
Get a used one with kit lens.
Sony or pentax if you don't want to add more stuff later, nikon or canon if you do.
Or just get a decent compact, it'll probably be better.
you are not getting a good DSLR for $250 dollars. If that is your budget go for something like:
