Only if you still live in the year 2008 and don't own an SSD

ONLY if your boot drive isn't an SSD, outside of that it's only good for a slight boost in load times for apps/games stored on a non-ssd

Outside of that, I wouldn't even bother.

But if you're still using a mechanical drive to boot from, it can make quite a noticeable difference.

I've come to find the only defrag package that truly makes a difference is one that can do a boot time defrag for files that can't be defragged while the system is running, which the windows inboard defrag cannot do.

It also helps to use CCleaner to get rid of all the trash BEFORE you defrag.

OP, if your hard drive is fragmented due to having a filesystem like NTFS on an HDD, defrag every once in a good while. The speed gains are negligible, but you'll get a good deal of "missing" storage back.

Are you retarded
Windows Defrag works perfectly fine, there's no need to use a 3rd party program

does it optimize the MFT?

I don't trust programs that do something too quick

It's not a joke, defragging does nothing for SSDs except wear them out faster, TRIM is all you need

Don't listen to this retard, it's the opposite.

Windows should do it by default on it's boot drive if its NTFS also UltraDefrag exist and is better than the rest

Nig wat?
As for OP, only if you don't have a SSD.
And even then speed gains are negligible, unless you have gone 5 years without defragging.
