Using Windows with a backup of data, daily image of OS, and a ZFS NAS for storage NULLs the NTFS argument. Back up and you're fine.
The UI looks fine. Make icons smaller, text correct size for resolution and you're good to go. No need to spend 30 hours ricing your machine to look like DOS in green on black consoles.
Backdoors are a problem I'll grant you. But again. Keep Windows as OS and your data elsewhere, and your data is covered. When it comes to how you use your machine, 90% of data farming isn't from OS, it's from the websites you visit, so Linux alone wouldn't solve much at all. You'd have to change how you use your computer, and that can be started on Windows.
Telemetry etc can all be blocked. Doesn't take much at all to remove all the services etc built in. Small batch files can re-run these scripts to double check every boot if you wanted.
Don't be a retard. Windows is still the best ALL ROUND OS. Linux is stable and has customisation, but what, 30% of the application support? I'd prefer have issues with some things, but all of the functionality I want, than everything I do is flawless and stable, but I can't do what I want to.

Let's be honest, majority of dedicated GPUs in production (save for workstation models) were created with media consumption, especially videogames in mind.
Windows, with it's considerable desktop marketshare creates a big market for videogame players/enthusiasts which Nvidia/amd quite happily uses as their target audience.
On Linux, that's not the case.
Not even mentioning the tiny (compared to windows) desktop marketshare, but also the percentage of Linux users who are interested in videogames is low, therefore the market for linux-compatible dedicated GPUs is even smaller.
Since the majority of Linux users does NOT use their computer for graphically intense workloads, all their graphical needs are perfectly fullfilled by integrated GPUs
