Build rate thread?

Graphics card was going to be an RX 480, but I decided to hold off due to the power draw issues. Hopefully a non-reference model won't have the power draw problems.

Rate mine, post yours. I'm actually using mine right now even without a graphics card, but for web browsing and programming work, not gaming yet.

>32 GB
What the fuck are you planning to do with 32GB? Play two video games while editing 4k video on a VM? Why are you getting a board that supports OC memory and going with just 2400? Is it because buying 32GB of 3000 is too expensive?
>82 USD for 1TB drive
You can pick up 2TB for 50-60 if you look around.
>750W PSU
Are you going to have TRIPLE CROSSFIRE RX480's? What the hell do you need 750w for?
>RX480 power draw meme
You really think your OC GAYMEN BRAND board only supports PCIE 1.0 standards? It was literally only an issue on computers that costed less than the RX480 itself.
>Micro ATX board, overpriced mid ATX case
Is this a new meme?
>>
>>55627801

>32Gb
Jealous?

>82 USD for 1TB drive
I don't need 2TBs

>750watt PSU
I also use my computer to power me neighbors refrigerator.

>RX480 power draw meme
I am probably going to do quad crossfire.

>Micro ATX board, overpriced mid ATX case

Yeah, its really neat. lel lel lel. top kek.

Most of my decisions were made with future proofing in mind. My last desktop lasted me nearly 8 years.

Also I don't even use 1TB of space.

Like I said, my last computer lasted almost 8 years (and is still working) and I didn't even use 750GB.

I did the same shit.

But why the fuck would you get a micro ATX board? That is really not future proofing, that's fucking yourself. Cramped ass space to work in. Just get a friggin standard ATX.

If you don't use a lot of space get a 60ish SSD.

I re-used an old GPU I had laying around. At the time it was a few weeks before nvidia launched the new line. Then I decided to see what AMD was releasing.

I'll probably get rx470 in xfire.

But I had

Gigabyte z170 gaming GT
6700k
Corsair vengeance 32Gb
Corsair RM750 Gold
Noctua cooler
Corsair 600c inverted
Samsung 950pro M.2 SSD

You could still buy two 8GB modules and go with 16, then upgrade later if you need to. It would be more practical since memory only falls in price over time and the chances of needing 32 in even a few years is pretty slim.

There still isn't a reason to pay more for a smaller drive, unless you really think the warranty is worth that much extra. If your goal is to have a computer that will last for a long time, you should consider a mirrored RAID as part of your build.

Any suggestions before I start buying the parts? Advice?

I specifically wanted western digital since I had bad experiences with several other brands.

>>55627978
I don't remember why I chose a micro ATX board. Probably because it looked decent and was on sale or some shit like that.
>>
>>55628034

I mean unless you absolutely need a small form factor or really really want that look the bigger ATX case will allow for better air flow, more heat dissipation, and more room to work in. Plus a bigger board will have a secondary m.2 slot for instance.

>>55628023
2400Mhz memory is four bucks more than what you have there. Consider a Samsung SSD. I've heard some crap about Seagate but I don't know how much to believe it. Wait for an aftermarket 480.

>1200w power supply
The only two cards you could fill that motherboard with to reach needing a 1200w psu would be running double 295x2's, which is neither reasonable or optimal.

>2TB SSD
You would only want to use a single 2TB drive if you were concerned about not having enough slots. It would literally be cheaper to purchase 4 512GB drives and set them up in a RAID 10 while getting far better performance and not having a single point of failure.

>Sound card
Audio interfaces of the same price will give you better quality, and more outputs. Plus you won't have to run your headphone cable all the way around to the back of your PC.

Some notes:
-Will be working with VM's
-Card is a placeholder to get a better idea of the final price
-PSU: Nvidia's recommended wattage is 500W. 650W is a safe overhead as well as being the cheapest, fully modular, most reasonable wattage PSU SeaSonic offers
-The NH-D15 has tight clearances and value RAM has no heatsink. I do not give a shit how my computer's insides look

Still need a recommendation for two fans to add.

I personally dislike fan controllers since that should be my hardware's job, but it looks alright. Not sure what you need 32 GB of memory for, but it's your build. People are going to give you shit though for

>32gb ram for programming
dude get 16gb of fast 3k+ ram
>750w bronze psu
get at least gold certified, also ignore the aspis telling 750w is overkill because the Psu donĀ“t run on high efficiecy if you power them with 90-100%. The sweet spot for efficency is 50-60% system draw then you saving money in the long run.
