I get fan boyism, I get justifying your purchase, it's stupid and shallow but I get it. What dominates /g/ lately though is more like one retard cooks up a badly made PowerPoint with no sources and posts it, then 2 dozen retards argue about the significance of the figment of the first guys imagination. And it's like they know it's all bullshit but they're playing pretend if they say it enough it has to be true.
Don't get me wrong, my first system build back in 94 was an AM386SX with a 1gb Maxtor hard drive. I want AMD to pull through and be a viable alternative in GPUs and processors.
I don't get it either the prices are how they are and the performance needs to be proofed by benchmarks.
I will get one 480 because it's the cheaper option anyway. The meming about two beating a 1080 are hilarious exaggeration since multiple gpu setup is rarely supported. People are hyped about it is my only guess.
