Don't compromise on screen resolution or panel quality. Get a T520. Something you realize after using bigger Thinkpads is that the smaller ones really suck in comparison. The cooling is barely sufficient, the small models are where the "Thinkpad screens are shit" meme comes from, and the build quality isn't nearly as great. Thinkpads just weren't meant to be small. They're big fuckoff get shit done machines.
