That's not a deadlift.
>>
>>37761607
What's your opinion on GZCL's J&T as an offseason program?
I need a good amount of hypertrophy work and plan on running J&T starting this September.

>GZCL's J&T as an offseason program

Despite CL being "not quite natty", I think his programming is solid for guys that want more hypertrophy in their programming.

He gives a lot of videos and general support on modifying the programming, which is nice.

My brother (17 years old) ran it and saw tremendous gains in muscle mass, and dropped some bodyfat. His lifts went up too, but at his numbers (330/210/415) almost anything he does will make the big 3 move.
>>
What body proportions are better suited for sumo style? I'm struggling with deadlifts now and might try switching over
>>
>>37761826
Yes because standing with your shins in direct contact with s one inch bar raised several inches off the ground and placing your hands outside of your shins to grab it is the true test of strength and is far more applicable to everyday tasks compared to straddling the same bar.
>>
>>37761832
Thanks,I'm not strong either (150/85/150 64bw) so I'm sure I'll make good gains.
He is also releasing J&T 2.0 next week.
>He gives a lot of videos and general support on modifying the programming, which is nice.
This means so fucking much to me.I'll probably try standard GZCL programming after J&T because I can try tailor it to my needs without being completely lost.
>>
>>37761900
>He is also releasing J&T 2.0 next week.
I'm excited to see what he releases. Even though I don't run his programming, I like his passion for what he puts out.

>I'll probably try standard GZCL programming after J&T because I can try tailor it to my needs without being completely lost.
Go get it, holmes. There are plenty of success stories/training logs from guys that ran GZCL that came out of it thicker, stronger, and excited to modify their programming.

God speed.

If you test morning to morning your grip strength will vary simply based on your overall fatigue levels.

Real meets need real workers. I've helped organize large city-based marathons, and you have to charge participants enough to pay for all the crew. It's part of sports event organization.

>>
>>37763804
Andrew Tang sounds pretty based. Seems stressful to spot for the fast SHWs like Jezza
>>
>>37763847
>fewer officials for only a day and set up.
I agree that the IPF will get there eventually with the growth of the sport... but they could be there NOW.

Big marathons require a ridiculous amount of staff. Director, officials, course marshals, packet pick-up, aid stations, truck drivers, clean-up crew, etc etc etc.

A lot of the time, they'll outsource some of the work to local running stores as a symbiotic opportunity for labor for branding.

Somebody needs to step up as a better event organizer :)

In large marathons, ex olympians are typically making their buck through organizing the events, and doing PR. Frank Shorter, Alan Culpepper, etc work for Competitor Group, which does the big Rock & Roll Marathons.

Can any of you guys give me tips on squat form? I do sort of a mix between highbar and lowbar.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h70WmuIIgME

I spent a few months at 3x5 and got up to 300lbs as my 5rm, did a minor deload as of last week, and now I'm doing 5x5 again

I included all my sets cause why not
>>
>>37764010
they look pretty good bud.

I honestly wouldn't suggest any changes based on an initial look.

If you wanna try something crazy I'd recommend either double pause squats or super slow squats.
>>
>>37764010
Looks good. Nice squat leverages :)

>>37764044
Was this squat of yours a suicide attempt or a cry for help?

Did some 1.5 squats today. Holy leg pump. Felt like I had your quads when I was walking out of the cage.

1.5's are squat to the hole, come up just past parallel, drop back to the hole, then squat up.

its definitely not a major city. major cities are like LA, NYC, chicago, boston, etc.
even atlantic city which is much bigger than galloway and more urban isn't a major city.
i mean if you meant "its not that rare to see them in rural farmland" then i guess i'd have to agree or at least not argue but suburbs are diff imo.
>>37764725
honestly i think there needs to be a major change in how the US deals with guns. clearly something is not working and i think trying out different things is a good option. i doubt restricting conceal carry will really matter, it may slightly lower the number of shootings due to people "snapping" but i doubt those are THAT high. obviously criminals will just ignore it so it probably was more to just appease people and make it look like they're doing something.

Most teaching organizations (my state doesn't have a union) are left leaning. Generally it's because we get our funding through the government... so more government should mean more funding... but it's a clusterfuck of a problem.

I am of "common sense" leanings. I'd rather be in the middle as it all burns down than perpetuate the status quo just because.

We're "supposed" to vote for Hillary... fukken el oh el.

Don't get me wrong, we NEED public ed to serve everyone a free (tax paid) education to all students regardless of socioeconomic status or disability... but money is grossly misappropriated in public ed, and my pocket sees none of it. So fuck em.

Sleep whenever I'm allowed to

I don't think I could even pretend to have plans to compete any time within the next 5 years unless plans change.

My high school was a public school, but it was entirely funded locally (no state or federal dollars) through gas pipeline money and taxes.

My state gubment shut it down on the premise that small schools were costing them money (not false, but my school certainly wasn't lol)
