This chocolate milk has been in the news recently, is the "muscle refuel" claim just an advertising gimmick, or is it any good?

Would blending cocoa into milk, without so much sugar, be just as good, or better?

42g of sugar is never good ever
>>
>>36865524
less carbs
probably less calories

>>
>>36865524

>>

i've read that a 2:1 carb:protein ratio is good for a post workout drink, and that fits the bill. i'm not sure how broscience this is though
>>
>>36865120

>>
>>36865129
>43 grams carbs

beware that lactase may count towards the "protein" throwing off the whole balance of complete protein profile

I can't back it up with any research BUT from a cost effectiveness POV. Most people buy whey with the AA profile on the side yet milk labeling is not the same.
