don't see how you could still be fatigued after a week of recovery. took me about half a week after the 4x5 day and i felt like i had a constant trap/forearm pump for like 3 days which was piss.

just curious, how are your gains on it? I went from 375 lbs to an easy 4 pl8 (which was partly because of form fixes). testing my max this friday and hoping to hit at least 420 blaze it

I'm not even sure if it's biceps or triceps - it at both pushing and pulling movements.

With the wrist supinated (thumb out) the pain is on the other side of the upper arm, very close to my elbow.

I can trigger the pain by trying to fold my arm together, like you would have to when you your hand to your front shoulder.

Man I check my reps and the elbow is underneath the fucking bar.

Also, I bench 3 times a week - if I can't take it physically I might as well kill myself because that's a) not much and b) very fucking good for the bench to at least do 3 sessions a week.

I have insomnia from this damn program.

Deadlifts have always felt really really really hard for me and I don't know why. I never recover. I once hit 140kg for 5 several months ago and since then I have gotten weaker because I became fatigued and didn't realise and didnt allow for recovery.

I can't recover on SS so I started Gnuckols program and that's even harder to recover from it obviously I guess....

I guess it'd be 4 and a half years now. Mind you the first 3 years of my training I had no idea what I was doing and took time off did like 4 self-made variations of 5/3/1 so I basically made almost no discernible progress in that time.
I'd say I've been training for PL style bench for just over a year now. My original style didn't even attempt to utilize arch.

You do flies every time but they're super light just for a stretch. I switch between using 17.5lbs DBs and 20lbs DBs.
For back work I just do whatever I feel like pretty much. Sometimes I skip it because I run out of time. I'd say 50% of the time I just pyramid some BB rows as I feel like. Other times I do pullups weighted or unweighted, sometimes chest-supported rows, other times I just do rear delt work and call that my back work.

I do pull ups and chin ups when I can but I am shit at them. Hammer curls are a pretty good accessory and I feel like it really gets the blood flowing in that elbow and forearm. I got very imbalanced tris so I have to work them hard. I have some 5 kg weights at home and just do some curls/overhead tri extensions superset and I think it's working for me.

Run an actual program. SS, SL5x5, Sheiko, whatever. You are extremely weak. Don't worry though, you'll improve quickly.

If you're trying to tuck more, that could very well be causing your elbows to get out in front of the bar. If you're trying to tuck more, you gotta make sure your touching a decent bit lower too. Elbows under the bar at all times. Paused bench helped me ingrain the pattern and get rid of it, but if you can fix it with touch and go, go for it.

skills test was bad. I'll talk a bit about it lift by lift, but here's the video if you don't feel like reading. Like I did with my last skills test video, the last time I hit my PRs is the first video for each lift for comparison, and the following videos are from today.

first off, I didn't expect this to go very well at all. in the last 2 weeks, I've lost and gained 13 pounds, lifted twice, and pretty much didn't to anything lifting related for most of spring break. I hiked around a fuckton, and I think it's pretty fair to day that if there is such a thing as negative peaked, this would be it. anyways, enough with the excuses.

squats have felt like absolute garbage since I got back from spring break. I think it's just about all from losing an absurd amount of weight, then gaining it back quickly coupled with the fact that I haven't lifted seriously in like 2 weeks. But they have been feeling shaky as fuck in my last 2 workouts, and that trend continued today. my last warmup, 475, went fairly easily. Then 530 was MUCH harder than it would have been if I didn't JUST myself in the last couple of weeks. After that, I should honestly get a lifetime ban for even thinking about going for more, but I let my ego get the best of me, and 545 looked like my only goal was to set it down nicely.

Bench actually felt ok, not great, since I've gotten back, but meh compared to how it was prior to spring break. 315 felt ok, and I thought there was more there, but then 325 showed me that there was not.

>Deadlift
This is an absolute anomoly to me. Despite squats and bench going about as bad as they could have, deadlifts felt fine. I said in the video, but the school gym banned video cameras in the gym for what ever reason, and once I put 405 on the bar, the attendants started paying pretty close attention to me because we aren't supposed to use the metal plates on the platforms, so I didn't want to press my luck. But I did pull 515 ezpz, then tried for 535 and it went up pretty well. I didn't get a video of them, so they didn't actually happen though, you'll just have to take my word for it. Then with 545 I just decided to yolo and put the camera up against my gym bag and record it that way, because worst case scenario they kick me out after I'm done anyways. but that got off the ground, but I couldn't lock it out.

Overall, I'm ok, just a bit disappointed. Added 20lbs to my gym total, which is always good, and I feel like on a better day that 325 bench would have been there. Excited to see what I can do with a proper peak and taper in about a month though.
