I know this, because I have been there, you think it will be easier to make someone like you and draw worth from that because you hate yourself that much. I don't want to sound like some early 2000s parent advocating for self-esteem over all else, but you need to like yourself at least a little bit. You have it right, you aren't basing your self-worth exclusively on what the (much harder to ignore) outside world thinks of you.
