How to I remove these from the board? I tried prying and tugging it, but it won't budge, kinda want these speakers.
>>950457
cut the wires
Why do I get the feeling I fucked up?
>>950472
haha you got him good,
those speakers are never going to work again
Fack, Live and learn.
>>950477
those speakers will work fine. He's just fucking with you.
>>950472
No idea. They look fine.
Although now that we can see the speaker terminals themselves, it looks a lot like they've got spade terminals on them, which you could have simply pulled off.
>>950472
Now what do you plan to do with 2 bare speakers like that?
You do understand that they need an amp to be useful right?
>>950472
>positive wire
>negative wire
Looks good to me
>pro tip - play encouraging words through them and they'll be a motivational speaker
>>950508
>>950472
>Why do I get the feeling I fucked up?
because you did, see those little metallic connectors? they're crimps which just slide off, but you decided to cut the wires...
>>950510
dont listen to this guy. the OP did not fuck up. if he slid the terminals off, then what? he'd have to spend money on either new terminals, or a soldering rig. as is, he can just strip the wires and do a twist connection to whatever.
>>950507
Noted.
>>950514
>if he slid the terminals off, then what?
1) spend 0.01 cents on two crimp connectors of same gauge
2) crimp them on the wires using pic rel
3) slide the connectors on the speaker terminals
4) bleep bloop
>>950524
>spend 0.01 cents on two crimp
you cant drive to the electronics store and ask for 2 crimp terminals. they'll offer you a kit for $10. also, it looks like 2 different size terminals, neither of which is the common 1/4-inch ones, so they may not even be available. of course, you can order from China, wait 6 weeks, and pay for shipping.
>crimp them on the wires using pic rel
pliers make lousy crimpers, especially for a noob. you're just as likely to get a loose connection as a good one. or you crimp too hard and the wire fails. that magic touch only comes with experience, which is lacking in this case.
>>950525
>crimp too hard
Stop ringing the wires when you strip them.
>>950525
you have a very negative attitude to find so many reasons why something can't be done properly
>>950508
Made me laugh, anon. What do you plan to do with these speakers though, OP?
>>950598
the job's already been done as properly as can be done without spending more money that the speakers are worth.
>>950615
Probably now going to get an amp and use it as a music player for my phone
>>950525
they all seem to be 3/16" and 1/8" for negative
not OP, but hardware stores seem to only have 1/4"
goddamnit why did radioshack have to close I didn't mind paying a bit extra for little things like this to have them instantly and not wait for shipping
>>951481
well, for future use, i'd order a lot of 100 from china for 1 dollar and free international shipping
