Sup /diy/

I've been contemplating for a while the possibility of making an Eames Lounge Chair at home. I have one of those shitty office chairs for my daily use and it sucks. A gentleman like me, gracefully living with his parents, deserves a better seating, don't you think?

A couple months ago I started thinking more seriously about making it and I went and found some stuff showing disassembled chairs and schematics and all.

I've never bent wood, so I would need some advice on that. Also, the metal parts that join the back panels to the seating, how do I pull it off? What kind of rubber/polymer should I use for the dampers? How do I make the star base and how do I mount wheels to it?

Has anyone ever tried to make one? Share your experiences, anons!

tl;dr how do I make an Eames Lounge Chair from scratch on wheels?

You ever sat in one? They suck as computer chairs. Just get one at an estate sale. It will cost less than the materials you need to build it.
