Hey guys.
I'm making a new table that is going to have a somewhat unorthodox design. Anyway, I saw this picture and I thought that I really liked the heightening-/lowering thing, that I have encircled... Just one qustion though; do anybody know what these are called??
'Hand crank table lift mechanism', according to google. Pretty neat idea, if I had the skills I'd go after it.

wheel crank, hand wheel, valve handle, hand crank etc etc
What you're looking for is a screw jack.

And that is a industrial crank table, much nice in blue in my opinion.

There are other table lift mechanisms that I would look at first.

like what
Some car jacks work like this perhaps you could get some at a salvage yard. But not sure what kind of travel you will get out of them
How about a trailer jack, one mounted on both sides should do the trick, though perhaps not as attractive.
