I need a tiny bit of advice from you guys for a simple project
I'm buying the attached desk for my room soon but I don't really want the clear glass. My current desk is black glass, and I'm really fond of that.
How can I make this glass look like black glass? Upon closer examination of my current desk, the glass isn't actually black, the underside just has a thin black sticker under it, and that works pretty well apparently.
I'm wondering, can I just buy some Matte Black Spray Paint, some masking tape (so the edges won't look like shit) and spray paint the bottom for same effect?
Or do you guys have any better ideas for this? (Easy and cheap is my goal)

Car tint paper and watch a TON of Youtube videos about it before you buy it or open the packages.
Tape black construction paper at the bottom.
This is misleading. Applying film to glass without a shit fuck ton of experience is so hard I can guarantee you will make a mess of it.
Just paint the bottom with spray paint. Not a brush.
There are even acrylic paints specialised to painted glass with.

3 coats or really thin, and I mean fucking thin coats, leave 30 minutes between each coat.
The side with the paint is the bottom of course.
Will give same effect.

Glass furniture is the fuck worst, what's wrong with you. It's fragile, it's noisy as hell to put anything on it, it's just shit.
My stepbrother bought a similar one, and I painted the underside with plastidip. The two rectangles black, and the small one blue. It looked great

But the top side (which OP will see through the glass) will be as smooth as the glass surface is. Assuming he cleans and preps it properly before painting. This is basically how mirrors are made.

This guy has their right of it. We are building a house and had some glass cut for our kitchen island and bathroom vanity. Just get a bottle of iso alcohol or methylated spirits and clean the everloving shit out of it.
Then get yourself a can or two of enamel spray paint and get a nice thick coat on it. Once the first coat is on shine a torch from the paint side to their clean side and have a look for spots you missed and make sure you hit them on their second coat. Ill post some pics in a bit. It looks awesome.
