How do I make my patio next to my studio more inviting?

I was thinking adding a solar pond in the right corner with nice rocks. Add some flat bed planters or something.

Any pictures for inspiration /diy/ has would be much appreciated.

Try sweeping, for one.

The patio looks like a pretty dark corner. The dark color of the wood adds to that. You might want to change that.
Also the column, floor and everything else looks dirty. Clean that and/or buy new patio furniture. Add plants or grow spices or stuff.
