Anyone here experience with saws like these?
I have one similair to the one in picture, except its PTO driven.
Main question is what speeds it supposed to run.

PTOs only come in 2 speeds unless your shit is 100 years old.
6 spline shaft, 540rpm
20 or 21 spline shaft, 1000rpm

my gut feeling is that 1000rpm would be sketchy as fuck on a blade of that diameter.

Sketchy, but hilarious

Don't ever rev it or they can shatter.

The saw blade that is 20 and 22 inch 1000 to 1200 rpm. 24 and 26 inch, 850 to 1100 rpm. 28 and 30 inch, 800 to 1000 rpm. and for more percise rpm.
saw diameter in inches divided by 12, multiply by 3.14159 = peripheral speed. Divided 10,000 by peripheral speed = rpm
