Hey guys I just bought a Dewalt combi drill but It only came with a 1.3 ah battery and it's nowhere near enough runtime. I need to get a second battery are all Dewalt lithium ion batteries ok to use? Also I saw some knock off batteries online which are half the price. anybody had experience with knock off batteries? pic related is the drill I bought.

Nice black & decker you got there. You should have gone with Makita.

Yo, 2ah, 4ah, 5ah - as long as same-voltage XR, will work, just larger batteries, greater capacity, longa-runtime. Your original charger should be good for those as well. I asked previously for XR knock-off recommends, no bites - be likewise interested if anyone has?, or, go by AMZ recommends. Its difficult to say anyway, you need a long-term test to be sure - if they dont burst into flame on first use, its all positive from there on..

Yo MAKITA'NON - fucking turn it down with this shit, you becoming even more of a PiA than our resident TTI shill. And hes a Grade-A cunt.

I'm probably going to buy a knock off 5ah and a 4ah dewalt battery the reviews on the knock off's aren't that bad so I'll give it a try.

>buy shitty yellow and black tool
>it isn't up to the task
>its heavier than other brands that perform better
when will they learn?
Im not a makitafag, but their version of that tool has the best battery and motor. Millwaukee comes in a close second. Each brand tends to have a few tools that are objectively the best. Except dewalt. As I said, OP should have gone with makita.

I know run time is a concern but have you thought about getting another 1.3 and swapping? I was recently doing a shit ton of overhead work and was not so happy with 3ah battery. Ideally I'd have both just for times like those.

I works fine for me mate It was only £80. I've been building this extension using it and it's done every task I need it too the only problem is the battery power. Pic related it's extension I've been building sorry about the shit camera

Thanks it's not quite finished yet I put a grp roof on it last week. I just buy the cheaper tools they work fine but I end replacing them a lot.
