So what do you think of my new router table?
I'd fuck it

That would probably be the only time I would ever consider using something that said "Ryobi Table Saw" and be happy with the results.
Nice table there OP
Hell, I'd settle for a handheld router at this point. To have one affixed to a table... color me jelly.

I got the table for free. It took me a good 4 hours gutting it and shaping the underside of the table so that the router would sit square with the top. I used the router to cut away some of the aluminum.

This is all mine.

Pretty clever, but I'd really recommend getting an insert blank without a slit for a saw blade. Will help prevent ships from falling through and help prevent tear out when you have the bit buried in the fence. Otherwise looks really nice.

Why would you need such a large table for your router? I just put mine on my desk. Doesn't interrupt connection

I plan on making a new insert just don't have the 1/4" stock laying around at the moment. Going to make several for different bits.

I don't really need one that big but it was free and the leaves come off but it will come in handy when I have large pieces that need supported. My last router table was a 4x8 sheet of plywood on saw horses with a circular saw mounted on it for my table saw.

Im so jealous
Built inserts for router table. Needed a good way to round the corners so I built a stand for my belt sander. Also rebuilt my table saw sled. That led me to putting some upgrades on the table saw.
It's actually quite good in my mind. However the current fence is pretty useless and personally I'd have a fence running across the width of the table.
All that work piece support would be wasted if you kept it as it is.

Man I'd love a medium sized jointer that's actually cast iron like that. Something 6-8 inches would be ideal. For some reason everything in Yorp is either high end pro shop equipment if you want the cast iron, or chintzy aluminum with plastic gears. Hard to find a decent mid ranged machine.

I'm currently in the market for an old Delta 6 inch myself. I have an older Craftsman 6 inch, which I believe was made for them by Emerson, but it uses a 1/2 HP motor, which isn't quite enough for some tasks. Its all steel though. I've seen a few Delta's with 3/4th HP motors show up around me but they have all been out of out my price range because they were fully restored. I'm sure if I keep looking I'll find a ncie one for under a hundred that just needs some work.
Today's update. I made a circle cutter for the router and made an adapter to hook my dust collector up to the table saw with it.

That unfortunately is a harbor freight jointer. I only paid $150 for it and it gets the job done just not perfect. I have to feed it real slow or it leaves blade marks.
OP here with another important update.
I couldn't be happier with the performance of the table.
