Want to extend and splice these two lamps into one. But why would they need these big ass adapters?
And how can I get around using only one outlet?
>>
>>1005520
go find one that can supply 12V at 1A (at least)
>>
>>1005521
That's it no hidden thing I should think about?

Why would it be suppressed?

Note that you need to figure out whether it's 12V DC or 12V AC.
>>
>>1005568
This, though exterbal low voltage ac transformers tend to be uncommon in consumer electronics lights at 12vac are one of the more common things you'll find.

So this one wouls work?
(Original one to the left)

Do incandescent lamps actually care that much if it's AC or DC?

Alternatively, if it's LED then it's definitely DC.
>>
>>1005576
Yes.
>>1005580
Incandescent bulbs don't care if it's AC or DC. Leds bulbs that fit the low-voltage domestic 12V don't care too.
>>
Do they even make incandescent lamps anymore? or is it all replaced by LED?
>>
>>1005674
They still make them, though you might not see them on the shelves at the supermarket.

>They still make them, though you might not see them on the shelves at the supermarket.
Why Isn't LED far cheaper to make and more efficient?
>>
>>1005697
Incandescents are more versatile and give off a more natural light.
>>
>>1005700
Huh, okay well the more you know
>>
>>1005674
There's not only incandescents or leds bulb, there's also halogens and fluorescents bulb.
>>
>>1005718
Also, it's very cheap to do incandescent bulb. It's just a tungsten filament inside a bulb with inert gaz like Azote.
>>
>>1005700
>more natural light
Yes and No. Incandescent light outputs a full light spectrum as a 2500K black-body but the sunlight (in midday on earth) is like a black-body at 3500-4000K.
(Sun in space is like a black-body at 5000K)

>VA
It's AC
>>
>>1005792
dc can be measured in VA by doing v * a which is what it is. 12 * .5 = 6va.
>>
>>1005813
That is watts. VA is apparent power, which is Watts*pf. There is no power factor in dc
>>
>>1005833
Me again, also, a DC power supply has a pin out on whether the inside or outside of the plug is + or -
