What do I do when Irun out of issues?
I like to think Vader's mindset during the Empire is initially tons of doubt in Palpatine and possibly Anakin coming out every now and then when he starts thinking about finding Yoda and restarting the Jedi. This changes though over time because Sheev starts teaching Vader more about the Sith and Vader starts wanting to kill Sheev. Initially he would be using the excuse that he could kill him and then remake the Jedi but over time his true anger towards Sheev leads him to wanting to kill him to fulfill the rule of two. Over the years he becomes more angry towards Sheev but also fearful because he understands that there's no way he can possibly kill him in his condition so he's essentially Sheev's slave. But Sheev abuses this and uses Vader's anger and sorrow to power himself as a sort of rule of one. That along with his abuse of midichlorians and technology shows that even the Sith are losing their way now.
And all of this makes pottery with the prequels where initially Anakin didn't want to be a Jedi in the comics but over time he ended up being a kind of acceptable Jedi until some event happened (his son) and he turned Sith. And while all of this is happening Anakin's order is changing into something it's not until it's finally destroyed. To be honest if you want to know what happened to Kylo and Luke's Jedi Academy you should probably look at the OT and PT because it will probably rhyme with them in many ways.

You're right on the money. The New canon has this mindset especially Tarkin, Lords of the Sith and the Vader comics. Palpatine detects flashes of the lightside within Vader many times in Tarkin. And the Vader comics state that Vader is fed up with Sidious because he knows what he really is and Sidious and the Sith have kinda lost their way. Palpatine has become too complacent without the Jedi challenging him and its made him sloppy.Also, I love how Vader calls out Sheev in the Vader comics when he "succeeds" killing his successors.

Given how despite his verbal protests he just did whatever Owen and Beru asked him too, him bailing on a whim is taking a huge liberty with the character as he's been presented, unless this is some sort of kernal of information we're supposed to take with us into ep VIII as to why he vanished when the galaxy needed him instead of sticking around to help the Republic after the Kylo Ren betrayal.
Fuck I just thought of an awesome ending to Episode 2 that would be better than the one we got.

Ep 3 could then play on the way his new appearance strains his relationship with Padme, and showing Anakin to be disfigured but still of noble bearing. Shows a more human side to the characters rather than a plot device to make Luke and Leia exist.

They might not interfere with it too much but if it means more money then that when they get in which is why Disney keeps pushing for fucking sequels and reboots like the countless live action remakes of their animated classics. They also made Rebels pretty kiddy but you could argue that it's because it was made for their own children tv channel.
