Yup I'm here and It looks pretty bad. What I heard is that the whole forum archive was been deleted and there were no back ups so everything is lost. More in depth details here:
http://not-terezi-pyrope.tumblr.com/post/142408517431/im-sort-of-annoyed-at-what-pumpkin-right-now
We'll have to see if they are able to restore it somehow. It would be a real shame to see everyone's hard work get completely destroyed.
I still have my hopes up even though it looks that all the adventures are lost. So in the mean time I'm going to switch to Eagle Time Forums where I'm going to restart The Book of Glint tonight. We were still at the beginning on mspaforums so it's not hard to just start over.
But if Mspaforums come back I'm also going to switch back.
Expect the first update in couple of hours.
>>81592798
If you want a reference then it will take me a couple of minutes, until I can take it. I quickly took that one and a few other when I first opened my box. Fun fact about my phone: When I take lots of pictures/videos within a certain time frame, my phone assumes I'm at some event and will make a video by selecting a few of them at random, flip them, turn them upside down, add special effects, and add its own music. So here's that https://youtu.be/dA9wyqBczEY
Caught this rewatching Collide. My heart.
>>81586638
I think the pressing question is that, mathematically speaking, at the current update-page-ratio, Kazerad will most probably die looong before finishing prequel, that considering he lives a healthy, safe life with access to glorious Canadian health system.

If she has a week or so left that should take at least 14 years at the current rate we're going.
The fifth day lasted just short of two years.
We've currently been on the sixth day for 1.6 years.
I think the only way we're going to actually see that happen is if he has it say "a week later..." or something.
I put went through and recorded the date of every update since the start in an excell document and posted a few graphs here a few months ago.

I'm going to pack a bunch, then if they're domestic I'll put shipping labels on them and take then down to the post office tomorrow. The non-domestic ones go in the International Basket.
I'm going to be sending the first batch of those pretty soon, though. I'm setting things up with a shipping consolidator who can get me the same rate for any quantity of packages as long as they weight at least 10 lbs.

>>81599880
Step 1: make a box with a little packing sticker that says what I put in it. These are organized by general type, e.g. "Everything", "BlackAndScaleChest", so I can pack a lot of similar things at once.

I have basically an entire room dedicated to Tshirts at this point, so I just get two Larges and fold them up nice. I try to have the important part in front.
>>81600429
The pins aren't completely random. I make sure everyone gets at least one normal one, one shiny one, then the rest are randomized.
>>81600429
I actually have no idea what T-shirt size I am, and different countries larges are different sizes, so your guide on how to figure out what size you are was super helpful.Don't have a tape measure though so I just got a comfortable T-shirt and held it up to my 24" monitor corner to corner diagonally

It was interesting to get a little look at what all the merchandise and packing stuff is like. Thanks.
>>81601142
>Be honest, Kaz. You grossly underestimated the workload for a crowdfunding's rewards, didn't you?
The workload isn't vastly different from what I expected, but the part that took me by surprise was the planning and extraneous stuff. Like, getting 500lbs of Tshirts affordable delivered to me took time and planning. Setting up the shipping companies took time and planning. Getting the comics to print right took time and planning. When it comes down to it, I'm just now doing what I thought I'd be doing in early January. I suspect this is what catches a lot of people off-guard when they're delivering crowdfunding rewards.
>>81601078
Probably not! But this is a paid thing, and it's overdue, so I figure my primary obligation is to get this out. I'm not ignoring the update alltogether; I've been working on it in tandem.
Is there any chance Kaz will merch again

>>81602845
I think Bethesda likes his comic enough to tolerate it. They've acknowledged it.
>>81602845
I noticed that as long as you aren't profiting where companies think THEY could be profiting, they don't care.
A lot of people sell merchandife based on others intellectual property, and it always comes down to two things that let them get away with it. The companies either aren't aware, or don't care.

>Todd could be in this thread right now
>>81613392
I'm not always in control; it's actually pretty fun being a writer/artist on someone else's project. The thing with high-budget projects is that every part takes so much coordination and labor that additions/modifications are very costly.
Like, if you want to change a scene that's already been made in a low-budget game, you're looking at maybe a few hours of labor from a combined writer/scripter. In a higher-budget production, changing something like this after the fact would involve calling back animators, voice actors, programmers, etc.. As a result, you run into things that aren't quite working, but would be too costly to change, and I really hate being in that position.

I have never read a single mspaint quest except for the book of glint one and that showed some real good stuff. Didn't prequel start out there too?
Did I actually miss good stuff?
>>81621698
Generally the good stuff branches out and you can read it on its own website. Archival reading of forum adventures is shit and Sturgeon's law applied to MSPA very, very much.
>>81621750
>the good stuff branches out and you can read it on its own website.
But how will I know the name of the good stuff if everything was deleted?
Is there a list of good mspa stuff?
>>81614099
but you wouldn't be opposed to a writing job, right?
>>81604382
time to catch up on this before this board gets nuked too, I guess.

>not wanting to relieved of your valuables and innocence by a studly Orc bandit
I do not wish to know you, Sir.
>>81623486
If you mean like writing flavor books, a developer could get anyone to do that about as well as I could. The part of writing that's more interesting, enjoyable and - in smaller productions - valuable is nonlinear writing. Like, when you see Essential characters or Key Required doors in Skyrim, that stems from a lack of nonlinear writing - the game just doesn't account for how to handle it if you want to, say, kill Ulfric the first time you meet. This is the sort of thing that's pretty miserable in bigger projects, though.
It's not that I'm morally opposed to getting involved in bigger stuff, it's just that it's more enjoyable in smaller projects, and honestly probably pays better.

If other latinamerican countries are to be used as reference, it has more to do with shitty customs policies rather than mail service..

We're about one OC away from becoming /hsg/ 2.0, you fuckers.

But Anon,Prequel itself is already all about the one OC.

There's a little Katia Managan in all of us.
Which means that she is already suffering through us.

The biggest pro in working for a studio is that you can concentrate on the actual work instead of peripheral stuff (like packing and mailing 1000 merch boxes).

uh personally id frame it. keep of the dust off.
>>81630914
I did mine in a frame. It's too thin to pierce without long term damage. Plus Frames are amazing
I posted a full scan of the merch comic a week ago and it got removed off the Booru the same night it was posted. No idea why. Kaz said he fully expected scans.
Does anyone want me to post it here?
>>81632701
because the booru is filled with autistic mods that worship Kaz, post it up mang
>>81632749
Or maybe because it's not fanart? eh whatever
>>81632749I took it off myself. I didn't mean I wanted you to upload scans on /my site/, I just meant I was surprised that nobody started scanning it with their phone and posting it on 4chan right in front of me at the meetup. At least storytime it though across multiple posts.
>>81633115
well now I feel like an ass, lol

Ask and you shall receive. Gonna start with a MEGA link since my third world American internet would make putting together an imgur album take forever.
https://mega.nz/#!X4QHSCAR!GzrjHHUghV8rlgq6rG-LGTNiPjxs4vDRG0tSZtBjngI
I'm a retard when it comes to this, so please tell me if I uploaded it wrong. Also forgive the shitty first couple of pages, I fucked up those scans somewhat.
>>81633115
I thought about checking the other unboxing picture, but then thought "fuck it, it's almost midnight, I'm just going to go off of intuition."
I would say "it won't happen again," but I don't think I'm ever going to scan something like this ever again in my life.
>>81633115
Kaz, would you consider collaborating on a non-Prequel project? Not necessarily right now, but when you're less busy?
Serious question.
>>81633498
>when you're less busy?
Planning for a 2067 project start, anon?
And here is the Imgur link:

That all being said, this comic will appear in much better quality, and will be much easier to read on the Side Stories section some time in the near-ish future. I'm mostly posting this to validate the time spent picking this comic up from my buddy, scanning, and cropping everything with zero experience.sorry about the spoiler for any 4chanX usersalso sorry Kaz

>You do not speak Breton
fucking kek
Does anyone want a storytime? I was initially afraid of eating up the thread's image limit, but I just realized that these threads almost never hit the image limit before 404'ing.
>>81634797
Sounds good to me, senpai.
>>81634797
do it you bit hc, I waanna laugh at things and get a free update

Oh yeah, that's fucked up. Let me fix that.
>>81634929
>>81634998
>>81635033
Alright so unless someone can correct me I need to either make the images unreadably small or just do it a single page at a time.
>>81635142
Maybe this will work?
You people are irresponsible for making me do this.
>>81635265
alright this works astronomically better. Back to work!
>>81635142I originally did the whole thing with long S's, and it was horrible and unreadable. I cut it down later so they were only on the special pages.
>>81635265
That's a good set up, yeah.
And thanks for storytime-ing.
Is this Asotil or some other random identical imperial soldier?
>>81635326
>>81635407
It's Asotil.

The darker scenes in the comic is where the scans really don't do that great of a job.

I honestly forgot that Captain Underpants existed until I saw this page. I would make a .gif or webm. of this sequence but I am a luddite.
Did you know that Harold(?) is gay now?

>>81635901
The best thing I can recommend for you guys is to just open these scans in two separate tabs and flicker through them real fast.
Doesn't recreate the same elementary school whimsy though.
>>81635956
I'll see if I can make one after the dump.

Thanks again for the storytime, Anon.
>>81636208
You're welcome!
Here is a .gif made in the most reddit way possible. Consider this a stopgap until someone more competent makes a real .gif.

>>81636432
That's not bad
>Kazerad ends comic the day after merchandise updates end
>"thats for putting me in lego debt"
Its clear he doesnt want to do Prequel too much longer, since he sees it as a "glorified fanfiction".
>>81636114
>Asotil is the second best character, inferior only to Aggy.
GUESS WHO'S NOT A FURRY?
>>81636986
>clearly doesn't want to do prequel any longer
Prequel is very much an experiment, but where is that clear, or even implicit that he just wants to pull the plug?
>>81631943better not be samefag
>>81637119
the updates are growing at an exponential rate
>inb4 pure coincidence
and i think he's said some stuff about wanting to start other projects. I hope im wrong though.
>>81635897
Yeah, just add some money to the price. I think it was, like, 10 for T-shirts, totes, and cards, 25 for chests or bigger?
>>81636986
I like fanfiction! You guys know that.
