I wonder if we'll even see Ludo's lackeys again since it seems his crew is pretty much disbanded. Hell I wonder if they even survived the blast at the end of Storm the Castle. They may not have been the most important characters but to have them all killed off would be pretty grim. It would be interesting to have Star run into them again. It seems like they never had any personal beef with her, they were just following Ludo's orders.
As for general monsters, I'm quite certain we'll get more in season 2. I bet the writers will want to explore the battle/massacre that was mentioned in Mewnipendence Day and all that jazz.

I don't know, this specific chapter doesn't sit right with me: it's kinda hard to imagineGlossaryck recounting the backstory like that, and that ruins the immersion, in my opinion. Plus, it's odd that a very specific episode of a distant past gets described in such fine details and emotional moments, while the more grandiose and world shattering (literally) events that followed are all glossed (heh) over!
If I may suggest a change, maybe instead of personally tell that tale, Glossaryck could provide a vision or something to Hope, making her witness the facts with her own eyes; I don't know, kind of like a magical documentary of sorts, or a divination into the past.
…Bonus points if the magical device he uses for the explanation is incidentally similar to a VHS player!

Well, it's clear that they're looking for something to fill the giant hole left by "Gravity Falls", possibly another continuity-heavy animated series with well-written characters/lore. SVTFOE was very weak on this in Season 1, so it's possible that they renewed it again because they *do* have something planned for Season 2 and 3 after all.

I'd just like to point that there's an element of the narration that's a little jarring to me, though: it's when the story switches from the normal second-person narration to third-person.In the prologue, you used that device to show Star's backstory, and in this latest chapter for Janna — but in both cases it kinda "undoes" the effect of putting the reader in the MC's shoes, in my opinion. Maybe there's a way of conveying those scenes while still keeping up the protagonist's point of view.

My feelings on the subject are that if the story is delivered in second-person, and the reader is made to "inhabit" a character and see things from their point of view, every shift in that paradigm becomes kinda jarring.
So switching to Janna's POV strains the reader's immersion, I think; at least to me, it kinda feels like reading a whole different story all of a sudden, a more traditional one where the reader is not directly involved.

Wow didnt though about that....maybe it is because changing from 2nd to 3rd person isnt that difficult or unconfortable in spanish, and since my native language is spanish, applying it to english text doesnt feel funny or uncofortable at all. I believe the final episode was animated by Toon "Fuck-Your-Character-Design" City. But I could be wrong. I remember them doing a terrible job on some "Kim Possible" episodes too (but the show ditched them in Season 2): the animation was really smooth the characters themselves looked like shit.
I believe Blood Moon Ball was animated by Rough Draft instead, which is a great studio, but even there I missed the bouncy-roundy energy of Mercury Studios (the dance looked great though).

The battle scenes from the earlier episodes are really exhilarating, to me, and part of what drove me into the series. Let's hope that the new animation team has a fine grasp on handling action scenes — and that the storyboarders take advantage of it.

Post-Mercury battle scenes usually look stiff to me. The colorful "magical effects" for Star's spells also toned down, due to the lazier animation I guess. Even Marco's karate slowly (almost) disappeared. Compare his action scenes in "Matchmaker" to, well, pretty much the rest of the season.
Season 2 probably fixed this, since they had a lot of time to find a more consistent studio (Rough Draft is officially animating the second half of the second season).

I finally managed to give a look at your interactive story, and it's very promising!
Only a suggestion: to improve the immersion, try to take advantage of the medium, and for example, even when there's no real choices, instead of simply using "Next" to browse the chapters, try to employ the description of action or dialogue.
For example, like when Joanne says "This wall...needs a mural"; or later, a nice link to the next segment could be: "Load the needle gun with ink". It's kind of a way to help the player feel like they're kind of in control, even when they're not, really.
Also, just for the sake of playtesting, a "back" commend would be very helpful, IMHO!

Well that's an amazing sign if that is the case, Wander's visuals are fantastic and would fit with Nerfcy's seeming style of vivid background art. Although as interesting as Wander's visuals are, at time the animation is a bit wonky and repetitive which could be an issue for the action packed scenes in the show.
Rough Draft has seemingly had an odd assortment of shows, they worked on the Futurama movies and Star Wars: Clone Wars. Not sure what to take from those series in terms of what we can expect for Star vs.

8/10 would be my rating I think, specially considering what the show aims for. It's not a show with deep meanings, or philosophical ideologies being thrown around, it's about the characters, their development and some minor lore here and there. But that may change in S2, considering the very end of S1 has plenty of overachieving plot aspects.

I'm glad you enjoyed the series — and I also share some of your opinions: "Freeze Day" is one of my favorite episodes, as it advances Marco's character arc very nicely while also being gorgeously animated. And "Royal Pain" was indeed very meh and forgettable: totally skippable, in fact, as Star's rapport with her father is better illustrated in "Diaz Family Vacation", and in a shorter time span!
I hate Toffee the most, though: he's a villain I love to hate!

I really liked both seasons of Wander as well, there were just a few instances where animation techniques would stand out a bit in comparison to the backgrounds. It made sense to me given how much work likely went into said backgrounds, so it didn't detract from the show much. I really appreciated much of the physical comedy in the show thanks to the animation, which could be a huge plus for Star vs. given how physical much of the comedy and action is.

Oh well that's a good sign then, I felt there were a number of scenes in that episode where characters were rather plastered in the background which wasn't great. However, it has some of the best visuals in the first season in the big scenes, such as the waltz so I think that's a fair trade off.
Honestly, if they can keep the models a bit more tight I'll be more than happy with the results. Looking at those examples you posted earlier was really disconcerting.
