The maiden voyage of the Dread Ship Arkos continues beneath the waves.
At times, the pressure near the deep is as blistering as letting your skin rake over a cactus. Your ears seem to bleed, instead ooze puss as the hammer and anvil press against one another in cruel harmony.
At other times, the pressure of the deep numbs you, every movement a beautiful act of stillness in of itself. You will yourself to move forward only to remain at your post, feeling a dreary, null current grace your eyelids, the only sensation that affirms you that you live.
Both of these feelings are torments in their own special ways pain and pointlessness, so often me and my fellow mariners distract ourselves by staring into the black mire that stretches out two meters below us:
Uncanoninity. The oozing blackness that taints all. Staring down at it, the fear, the agony, the FURY in our hearts can be felt, blocking out other trivial sensations. It is the only semblance of heat we know of now. Anger. Rage.
We were betrayed. The R.S. Arkos was put on a course with no captain, our rudders jammed and our hull pricked with a thousand holes. The gods themselves turned their backs on us, conspired and plotted, and made us a show for the world. Some people break down to the cruelty, float up to the surface to fester and die, or let themselves gently rest into oily tides below at peace with the madness, the crack fics, the trash AUs.
Not many people do that now, though. We sweep, we sharpen, we polish. We wait.
Soon, we will have company. Soon, we shall rise a bit. Later, a bit further. A slow, agonizing, yet relentless ascent out of the darkness.
Count on it.
Reminder that Pyrrha "dying" was all part of Ozpin's back up plan to unlock Ruby's silver eye powers. Pyrrha is at her home in mistral waiting for Jaune to pick her up, thanks to Ozpin using his magic to help her cheat death!

Cinder knew that Pyrrha was a confident of Ozpin and aware of the maiden powers. She had to be killed in order to stop her informing others (Cinder is already lucky that Pyrrha hadn't already told loads of people).
At least her death caused Ruby to go Silver Eyes, which stopped the Dragon/Cinder, so in a way Pyrrha did save everyone.
