I think his agitation with it is a little exaggerated, but he's right. Yoda in particular seems out-of-place and fairly contrived, as does Maul's hilarious survival and Ahsoka in general (though she's been around for awhile now and that can't be helped; I just hope her confrontation with Vader isn't stupid).
But this is what happens when you have an unnecessary prequel cartoon. Much like with TCW, you'll end up with a lot of stuff that feels forced or awkward in the greater narrative for the sake of recognition or fanservice or something interesting. Does that make for high-quality storytelling? Usually not. But that's neither here nor there, and it's a little late now. It's not as if we really needed VII or even the prequels for that matter either, yet here we are. Most anyone can do is try to enjoy them for what they are.

Do you think Bail, Mothma and Ackbar just woke up one day and decided "Rebel Alliance here we go" with no preparation for it? They had to work quietly under the radar with their own cells, at first, which don't get very far for sticking it to the Empire. Hera's entire character is about starting a cell and bringing others together because more heads are better than just a few. Ghost crew is on it's own as a cell until they find Bail one day and ally with him for support.

You're not listening. Bane is still canon (though not the books or comics) because George Lucas created him. Revan is not. Revan was going to be in TCW BEFORE they wiped canon so Lucas was ok with it, but now that he and KotOR are not canon he wouldn't appear in Rebels like Bane could. This isn't that difficult to understand.

Bane is still canon because he was finally used in TCWs. Things Lucas thought up (fortunately) don't always wind up in canon. He's infamous for changing his mind. Rather like how Bane's appearance changed for his final appearance although his original aborted appearance in the Mortis Arc looked closer to the EU version. Things like Bane's lightsaber pike are not firmly established as canon as they only made it into the concept art. They were approved, but didn't actually make an appearance.
You'd be better off pointing out that even if Filoni manages to insert Revan into canon that wouldn't automatically validate KOTOR or TOR, it would only mean that Revan existed. Only what they actually put into the episode about him would be canon. Everything else would still be legends unless directly referenced.
