I used VLC with TMoGF's stream, basically you just play the bit ly link in the program and voila. Everything fine, minor stuttering every 3 minutes or so though.
I tried watching the official Disney stream with the streamer program and Media Player Classic, everything worked fine until like 40 seconds into the stream. MPC then kept pausing and when resumed, it'd play the stream all over from the beginning. Useless for me.

People ship Pinecest because they have an incest fetish and/or like the character dynamic, not because the show ever alludes to Mabel and Dipper having romantic chemistry, and I say this as an avid fan of Pinecest.
I'd say it's definitely possible to have two people of the opposite sex be a duo and very close and not have underlying romantic themes. You just don't see it very often because most TV and movie producers aren't interested in telling those stories, because sex/romance sells. It does happen, though. Some anons have already pointed out some good examples of that.
However, being close, long-standing friends who understand each other is a key ingredient in having a successful long-term romantic relationship. So people are always going to ship a duo of any sex combination if they are close friends. that's inevitable, but a close f/m duo wanting to bone each other isn't. (just likely)

Dipper's a more compelling character though. His bad actions come from some manner of deep rooted emotional scar that we don't quite have a solid explanation for outside of some pretty generic negative childhood moments, which in turns fuels his actions with drive the entire show forward: his desire to explore the mystery of the town, without which we wouldn't even have a show. The fact that you comb through these episode for the sole purpose of finding things to criticize Mabel for says more about you than Mabel. I could do the same thing you just did to Mabel but with Dipper: cataloging all of his sins, and reaching when I can't find something bad/questionable he did in that episode, sure, but why would I want to? Dipper and Mabel both do bad things occasionally, but they're overall good-hearted kids.
I can agree that Mabel is self-centered, but I don't think that makes her a horrible person. Ford is even more selfish than Mabel, and I still like him. Plus, Mabel has the excuse of being a child. Most people are more self-centered as kids because they don't have a lot of life experience, so they can't emphasize as much. Plus their brains are still developing critical thinking skills.
I'm not gonna tell you you shouldn't dislike Mabel, because everyone's got their own opinion, and you're certainly entitled to your own, but there's really no point in obsessively hating a fictional character like this. It's not productive.

I don't mind people who don't like Mabel, because to be fair, she's does display selfish behavior, and she's pretty undeveloped in comparison to Dipper in terms of internal motivations and character growth, which I think we should definitely criticize. But it seems that a lot of people in this thread enjoy getting angry at Mabel for the sake of having something to shitpost and rage about, and that annoys me. I think it's better to focus on the aspects of the show that you find enjoyable than to discuss in detail every little thing Mabel's done wrong.

Yes. Yes he did for a time make one of the most popular shows out there today. However his volatile personal life and certain habits made him a unreliable and unstable character to work with. His missed deadlines where the reasons for the Disney hiatuses to give the lazy little slacker time to catch up and finish episodes. I'll give that. Yes he did create something of worth. However he spiraled out of control in mid 2015 and dropped the ball midway through season two and decided to scrap season three. I got news for you kiddies the little creep had made the decision to quit with Disney as far back as March 2015. Disney spent some time trying to get him to reconsider but no. He wanted to stick by"muh vision" and end the show because he was bored with it and wanted to jump ship and go try and worm his way on R&M which will happen and will be interesting watching him flounder until he is eventually fired and is traded from cartoon show to cartoon show like a plantation slave with a drinking problem. Eventually he will be completely blacklisted when his alcohol and drug problems finally burn the last bridges he had leaving him at best an occasional speaker at comicon and a podcast guest.
