The 26 episodes of the original 1960s Alvin Show are really charming, they have great character designs, catchy musical numbers, good jokes, and likable characters.
The 80s show is pretty bad compared to the original but relatively watchable. Any CG Chipmunks though, be it the movies or the current show, are absolute garbage and are to be avoided at all costs.
