The worst part is that Toriyama can't decide on whether he's a cheater or if he's still scared of girls. I've had a sort of idea for a Dragon ball slice of life story with Krillin and Yamcha. basically with most of their friends focussed on training while they retired and are living relatively normal life. They talk about how weird it is to attempt a regular life considering all their weird circumstances(being dead for a while, traveling to another planet space, etc), and the strange feeling of drifting apart from some of their closest friends, especially Goku(with Krillin feeling somewhat hurt that due to his nature Goku spends more time with Vegeta, and seems to be closer to him that Krillin ever was). And of course, more down to earth problems like Krillin being somewhat envious of Yamcha's freewheeling lifestyle and Yamcha regretting his inability to commit and take life seriously when he sees Krillin's happy family life.

By all accounts, Hercule's skill at mundane martial arts is at worst decent and at best excellent. Most powerlevel listings have him in the 100-200 range. Also, keep in mind, the dude got his fame by winning the World Martial Arts Tournament, which you don't do by being a weakling. The few times we do see him fight other martial artists, he more than holds his own.
The problem is that he's outclassed by pretty much any ki user, alien, cyborg, monster, or god, which comprises almost the entire cast.

Wasn't the whole point of the Mystic powerup that he didn't need to train anymore and this was him at his absolute peak due to magic?
As is, all it does is set him up to do the "oh no Gohan hasn't trained and isn't the strongest anymore, now he has to train again" plotline that the series already friggin' did in the Buu saga.
