It really didn't, after the the first few episodes the close ups dropped away and they just transformed and fought. The show handled hype and drama pretty good, if you'd watched it then you would have remembered fondly scenes like Ryuuko finding out finally who killed her father. Or the great rebellion scene.

It's what sells.

I watch RWBY for the fight scenes. The ones in KLK were stylish but nothing like RWBY. I don't see how I would automatically like KLK as a result.

Excpet KLK wasn't really like the pandering shows and wasn't rated as one of them for various reasons by the anime community. I know you THINK you know what you're talking about, but you don't.
The show ended up being a battle shounen hot blooded revenge quest with transforming magical girls and a plot to destroy the Earth. People stood up and fucking lost it when the rebellion happened. The beheading? The years of abuse that's still talked about today? Shit.
And nobody is going to believe you watched it due to what you're saying.
