So I'm working on powering through Aftermath before TFA comes out. I've been slacking off and have so far only read Tarkin and A New Dawn out of the new novels. I haven't even started Lords of the Sith, Dark Disciple, or Lost Stars yet. Started Heir to the Jedi and abandoned it.
I'm up to the part where Ackbar has just sent out the scouts and Temmin's just run a hovercart into a mob of stormtroopers, or something like that. So far, the writing style is alienating but I'm glad the story's finally starting to come together enough to get me past the writing style. I don't know that it's GREAT, but at least I finally feel like I have some idea of who the characters are, what their motivations are, who the good guys are, and who the bad guys are, and the interludes have been FANTASTIC.
