My only problem with it is that it destroyed my headcanon that the reason Marceline was a vampire was that Ash turned her into one when they were dating back when she was a teen. That way they could always be together, but there's that irony that they broke up and now she's immortal and stuck with it.

Anyone can relate to this feel? I liked the first five S7 episodes, but they felt "blank" or shallow compared to S2-S3, even if they tried to catch the spirit of the earlier seasons.
But the first two leaked Stakes episodes really gave me that happysad feel I always loved about early AT. It had toptier humour, a good pace and the lore/backstory was neither saggy nor pretentious/pseudo esoterical. It had one or two flaws, but overall it's been probably the best episodes for years. Also the outro sounded really wonderful.
