Football was decent because they played around with BMO and his alternate persona Football
At first I was bored with the concept of BMO running around as Football and experiencing life, but they turned it on me because I wasn't expecting Football to betray BMO
And the Mirror World was an interesting concept that was well handled
Varmints is good because unlike most episodes, it actually contains an adventure. But the definitely focused way too much on the relationship between Marcy and PB, which was okay, but the show isn't called "Emotions Time". There was action, but not enough of it
Mama said was decent, but I wish they did more with the characters, in terms of actually doing things and going places. I wish Canyon didn't just find the sacred spring out of nowhere and use it to defeat the monster of the day. That's just too convenient of a resolution to both of the plots, but the fact that she just picked it up and swung it around was good

I mostly share the opinion as you, especially for Bonnie and Neddy, Football, and Varmints. I actually liked CCS after watching it the second time, but it just gets plain boring after getting past the half of the episode. Having Starchy as a more important character actually made me feel good first, but it quickly turned into shit after seeing how they handled him. I guess they specifically chose Starchy for the "Now she's married to a jerk" joke.

Even after all those years Evicted and specially the House Hunting song just give me goosebumps. I actually like modern AT and even S6 to a certain degree, but there's something about that episode that makes me feel happy and sad at the same time. Like my stomach's turning around and I just want to go back to that time and watch that episode for the first time over and over again.
I know it definitely won't ever happen again, but if AT managed to have an episode like Evicted in this season, I think millions of people would watch it.

I understand how you feel anon, the early seasons of the show in general make me feel like that. I'll always be bummed that I started coming to /co/ in 2012 when the opinion on AT was already starting to shift, all those archived talkbacks seemed s fun.
And Evicted itself really does a nice job at making you feel for Finn and Jake when they get kicked out and forced to endure all that hardship and shit, then Marcy comes back again and Jake nearly fucking died and stuff, crazy.
I'm not sure all that many people would come back in that case; people liked old AT, but I'm sure there's just as many that prefer new AT, and a whole bunch who don't see any difference (somehow).
I love it when the show makes me feel happy/sad, I really hope they nail it with the finale (if this damn thing ever gets one).
