I don't have a local butcher. Thank god I am moving next month to a place that does.
I went to the local butcher yesterday and they didn't even have any short ribs, said it would take a few days to get in. Like what the fuck. Got some really good peppered bacon though

Thought I found a real butcher but it turns out they're no better than a supermarket and their meat isn't good enough to warrant paying more.

It's 2016, we don't need meat threads.
The last time I visited the butcher in town to get inch thick ribeye steaks. Cooked them medium rare for my little brother with nothing but salt and butter and he was amazed at how good it tasted without any other seasoning. Hoping this perks his interest in cooking more.
They also sell massive strips of skin on bacon, how do you guys prepare these?

Didn't visit the butcher but I do have a nice pork butt I plan to smoke all day tomorrow. Gonna make delicious pulled pork. Probably bake some buns and make some coleslaw to go with it.

Got some hamburger $3 a pound today, the price is down from +$5 on sale on a good day. Got some steaks for $3.50~ a pound.
Did the beef bubble finally burst? Making some chili this winter now boys.
