I think it is because you generally see guys wearing loose jeans and pants. Not a lot will wear skinny jeans for whatever macho reason. So you dont notice how thin their legs can be.
In lolita, you want to be thin especially as a man a you are already broad, so it does encourage not having a lot of muscle overall.

No. He's nervous and awkward. His makeup and wig styling aren't good either. He's into kink but I can't clearly tell if brolita dressing is part of that because he doesn't act kinky or odd about lolita but has mentioned some other fetish events he attends when we talked about other general outings in town. I'm not sure what he wears to them because I stopped talking to him after that, it was TMI even though it sort of fit the conversation as 'other interests, other places to go' topic. I'm a pretty private person and wouldn't tell someone I'd just met about a fetish event I was going to in any situation though.

I usually just go for 3/4 and half sleeves and not bother with long sleeves anymore. Plus if you get something with details at the end of the sleeve like fancy cuffs or princess sleeves, they help draw attention away from the shoulders.

Been lurking alot and trying to find something through google which styles actually flatter my features. For oval shape, most sites go like "you have a superb faceshape, do whatever you like".
What really bugged me, was that bangs should make my face even broader in appearance, but then again the shape of my bangs matter if it fits or not?

Clip-on twintails will make your head look bigger but also aren't really used anymore in lolita. Maybe try a hime style instead? It's supposed to look big.
Your goal is to look smaller, right? So you might not want to add volume at the top, but lower instead to balance and detract the attention away since you'll probably also have a head accessory as well. I would try a straight long wig to slim the head shape, maybe curl the ends.
Do you already have a wig? Buy a cheap one and style it different ways and take pics. Post one here if you want. You have to try and experiment a lot, it's not really a science. Plenty of asian hairstyling videos on youtube.

I suppose this is the correct place to ask for help apart from the help thread itself.
I seek advice on what hairstyle I should probably use for my wig to make the overall look more elegant and myself more convincing. I also seek general makeup tips in regard to my facial features (like highlight x, wear y, etc). I'm pretty sure I have a diamond face but, you know, it takes a second set of eyes to see yourself etc etc.
I left the wig unstyled and I'm not wearing makeup. Should give a good idea on what default me looks like. I'm also too much of a paint dumbass to make a single image so I'll post four pictures: Face at angle, full face at front, full coord, and side view of face. Sorry!

I'm not who you are replying to but hair has always been trial and error for me. I'm not very good at styling wigs so I've ended up just buying a bunch of different pre-styled ones. It turns out that I don't look good in bangs even though every one suggested it (a slight side sweep is better for me).
I would try as many styles as you can. You might be surprised by one.
