It's really not bad, better than the original sprites he was working with, although not as good as DBZ's sprites look to be headed. The faces are a bit off model (again, in between the two current versions on that count), the body is about right, but the pose is a little exaggerated for a static sprite pose, which should be cute, but a bit more "casual" You're on the right track though.
