She rushed to the child's aid in desperation, she readied a fire spell (while repeating "please work! please work! please work!" over and since she always failed at spellcasting) and miraculously the spell worked and managed to scare the monster away... the problem is that the spell also set everything around the monster ablaze and the fire soon spread causing a forest fire.
She and the child managed to escape unharmed but the forest was completely engulfed in flames, the child lied to people in the town and told them the monster caused the fire and that Ammy was a hero.

I feel like I didn't write well enough.
Samanta was a regular child until found she had the gift of magic, then sent to the institute where she studied the basics of all elements until she found the one she had the most affinity with.
Her element was ice but she wanted to use fire because she thought it was cooler. Being an unstable element and the very opposite of hers, she lost control on her first field mission, causing the accident that killed an entire family and destroyed a farm.
Her master protected her and lied saying it was caused by an unfortunate dragon passing by, preventing her from being expelled and losing her magic.
After graduated she now travels around the reigns with a group dealing with magic problems, diplomacy and others affairs.

Also a little detail about Charlie, her right eye is always obscured, there is a reason for that, but it was gonna be revealed in the sequel that I never made (I planed the game to have two sequels but I never made em, so a ton of ideas I had for it and plotlines in the first game were unused/unresolved... oh well...)
Making settings and stories for OCs is my favorite part of it, probably because I have no talent to make the OCs interesting in a vacuum.
For example when I made "Dagger" I instantly started thinking on the implications of his existance, how he would relate to his parents, what his relaitonship with his grandmothers would be, how that affects the world RPG girl and Axe live in, it all goes on and on and all just because he EXIST. and all that just for a one-off artist challenge!
OC's are fun but to me even more fun is everything around them. so thank you for making this setting using OCs of your own and from these threads! that's my jam!

1. You're the artist. You're incredibly assblasted and have DA-tier sensibilities about your art, and actually got upset at someone making you fanart because it was off-model.
2. You're not the artist. This is arguably the more embarrassing option because it means you're getting offended FOR the artist, on their behalf, and telling off people that made them fanart, because you think you have to stand up for them or because you speak for them. She fell from the sky with no memory and was taken care of by a church of bikers...but they're getting harassed by gangs and she fights the gangs and turns out she has a knack for fighting and can replicate things she sees relatively easily, including dumb anime shit like DBZ beams, which kinda makes people freak the hell out.
Personality-wise, I guess she's pretty calm, maybe a bit arrogant of her abilities at first, but she does care for those close to her and just wants to protect them...she can be pretty flirty with the ladies and get a bit aggressive if she knows they like her back.

I made a chart of some of my OCs.
I quickly doodled the Main ones, locked the secondary characters and left out the tertiary characters entirely because I'm lazy and there are like a brazillion of them.
The ones in red are against /aco/'s totalitarian conservative fascist tumblarian laws. So no dice.
The ones in blue I can't draw lewdly because of reasons, but it's the Internet so I don't mind if someone else does.
The ones with yellow on the back would be the /aco/-friendly ones.
If anyone wants to request info or drawings from any of the OCs I'll be happy to deliver, but I can only deliver lewds of the /aco/-friendly ones.
That being said, I came to the conclusion that my /aco/-friendly OCs are really lame compared to most of yours. So I guess I'll just keep drawing other people's OCs for now. Ok, I'm wanting a good pic of my Anubis, but I wanna make sure i ask an artist who best fits the job.

Well I've grown impatient waiting to be familiar with the various artists and im just gonna throw it out there.
I'm looking for someone who can draw a nice male body hell, and good at drawing clothes. (ignore my god awful attempts at a kaffiyeh.
however, the head itself I'd like to still look sleek and stylized, like many deceptions of Anubis
Basically I want someone with good male anatomy, good clothing skill, but can still keep the stylized look of the head, and without clashing too much.

He does wear shoes, look at the foot in the back. the foot in the front just shows what he looks like without shoes. yes his feet are small.
He's wearing a nice dress shirt with sleeves rolled up, nice slacks, and some nice metal armbands and ...shirt thing.. to help with the egyptian look.
Basically i want him to look nice and classy.
His clothes are an aspect of the character, because they're the closest thing he has to personal interests/hobbies.

Well, it's not like they are a new oc. At first, I would just draw feathers coming from the shoulder and call it a day, but as time went by I noticed it was really hard to make them in different poses If I had no idea how the arms/wings worked hah

Ok so I've been trying to find something that I can put ref images and info onto for my ocs and remembered a site named charahub. It's kindof a pain, but it works for now. The only kindof major problem is that the thumpnail images for the images of my character are screwed up, so for my Maggie Monster oc image, I cant get the thumpnail to be her face at all. (Also this is all while on mobile to let you know)
Anyway this is acceptable for now, so I want to know what you guys think of it so far. Im not leaving a pic of her here cause I used the only pic I have of her already like 7 threads ago.

I know this feeling. Usually what it is is that there's some sort of fear or worry behind what's preventing you from doing anything. I believe a commom worry for this is the fear of wasting your time on things that don't mean much to you, though your fear might be different. Knowing what it is is half the battle!
For me personaly, what kicked me out of the funk was that I asked myself "ok so, I'd like to be good at art and basically at drawing anything, but what are the things I DEFINITELY want to draw? What do I know I want to accomplish in the future?"
And the answer to that was that I obviously want to draw my ocs, I barely draw them. And I have a monster people game I want to make in the future no matter what, so I should also focus on monster people too. Everything else isn't a prioritiy right now.
