I read part 7 first, because a friend linked it to me and told me to. I really loved it, and went and read the other parts afterwards, still reading part eight now.
Seven's still my favorite, but I thought all of the parts had value. Don't understand this place's hateboner for 3 and Jotaro in particular, part 3 was annoyingly drawn-out but was great when it got to Egypt.

Baby Face is one of the more original stands in the series, I thought it was pretty funny and the fight isn't as bad as everyone seems to think.
I would have picked Sex Pistols because of their personality but the actual ability just isn't interesting enough for me to justify it.
Also, I feel like part 3 stands are easy to pick on for least favorite but the fights are so short they aren't really that bad to read through and it doesn't make me dislike them so much.
Dragon's Dream is just shit though, it's completely uninteresting and the fight just drags on for too long.

Pol had a fuck ton of interaction with Jotaro especially after Kakoyin got sent to the hospital. Jotaro and Pol are always hanging out in the second half because Kak isn't there and Joseph and Abdol are doing their own gay thing most of the time.
Kak fits a lot of the tropes that Brojos file into, the first friend kinda thing, he was saved, he wants to bang the Jojo's mom but it's undeniable that Pol spent more time with Jotaro.

That's literally what I'm talking about, that's a very situational application that doesn't quite work on the fly. The important part is that it isn't D4C's first use, his first use is with Lucy and consistent with the common use, and as soon as Valentine is done with "who-shot-Johnny" shenanigans he fights Wekapipo and Diego with his standard D4C use, literally within the same arc meant to establish his abilities. Who shot Johnny was just Araki's way of introducing the alternate universe part of D4C in an interesting narrative that goes through each universe and overlaps them.
It was pretty weird and confusing and only ever happened once, but there was no ability change up, it worked one way, then did a weird thing followed immediately by working the old way and staying that way for the rest of the story.
Heck, if you consider Valentine's advisors to be D4C foreshadowing it makes it even more consistent, but that's always been a bit of a stretch with how early they appear

That's not necessarily true. A mostly unfounded assumption on your part doesn't mean everyone would have that experience.
For example, pretend you hadn't read Part 6 yet, but know Part 7 takes place in a totally unaffiliated universe. Clearly, this meant Part 6 had a sense of finality, but what "shit goes down" is conjecture in your blind-reading mind.
For all you know it could just have a very satisfactory, happy ending, with all the Joestars joining forces and taking down the big bad.

Polnareff and Jotaro spend loads of time together, though.
In the car during the Oingo shit, Polnareff was acting super-friendly with 'Jotaro', bothering him to eat oranges and do weird shit with cigarettes. Later on they team up to fight Anubis, Jotaro accompanies Polnareff to the barber and it spirals out of control from there. And then they hang out and do a team-attack with the Alessi shit, with Jotaro comforting Polnareff after he has to turn that lady down. Polnareff even sneezes on Jotaro (unknowingly saving his life from Hol Horse) and doesn't get growled at.
And during the final fight, Polnareff and Jotaro pair up and ride a bike together, looking real gay, and when DIO's about to finish the seemingly-dead Jotaro off Polnareff comes to his rescue, and ironically ends up having to be saved himself. And then they have that big hug at the end where Jotaro's all teary-eyed.

The anime for Parts 1 and 2 are generally considered better than the manga versions and the manga of Part 3 better than the anime. Also it gets better as it goes along despite running for 30 years and still going. Parts 1, 2 and 3 are good but part of the way through Part 4 is when the series really hits it's stride and becomes the thing that people love it for. The 2012 series covers Parts 1 and 2 in 26 episodes, and Stardust Crusaders covers Part 3 in 48 episodes. Diamond is Unbreakable which covers Part 4 is currently airing and will be 39 episodes. I think it bookended Part 2, for better AND for worse, very well. I'm just super charmed by stuff like the first use of Hamon in Part 2 being the coke bottle, and the Vocalno trick with the stone of Aja is just that same technique on a much larger scale, as well as the battle being won through Joseph's witty sense of humor and a whole lot of luck was the perfect end to his journey.

I've always like how Joseph constantly teetered between dumb luck, clever planning, and quick on-the-nose thinking to win fights, and his only impact on the finale being a cocky brat long enough to distract Kars was always really fun, and fitting to me.
Different strokes, I guess. It's definitely not the worst FIGHT in GENERAL, but I guess I can understand why it would be your least favorite Final Fight in particular.

DIO's weird vampire magicks made Jonathan's body complete 'his,' it's the entire reason he was in the mansion for the majority of Part 3, and why he went on about 'completion' and 'the greatest high' after cementing his ownership of Jonathan's body by assimilating Joestar blood. It's Jonathan's genetic material, but crawling in DIO's otherworldly influence, which is also why Giorno's hair suddenly changed colors to blonde naturally.

Jotaro had to be pretty cunning, though. His playing dead thing, his use of his limited amount of movement during stopped time, and his final gambit where he stopped time himself and let DIO think it was his own doing.

Anyone who calls Giorno "Jonathan's Son" is wrong. Yeah, Jonathan's dick made him, but Giorno's biggest themes is that he is what would've happened if Dio got the right influence during childhood.
Both had abusive fathers and keepsakes that they cherished, but Dio was picked up by the gentleman George Joestar and became the Ultimate Evil, while Giorno got protection from a mob boss and fought for justice. Ironic, but if you say that Giorno is Jonathan's son, then you are discrediting the entire nature of the character itself.

Just so you know unless you read the manga you'll be waiting like a decade to catch up. This series is REALLY long and still running. The anime is only a third of the way through Part 4, which ran in Shonen Jump between 1992 and 1995, so there's a lot left to go. It's split into Parts which are like arcs except they each follow a different protagonist in a different time period.
Part 1 is 44 chapters and 9 episodes (2012 series)
Part 2 is 69 chapters and 17 episodes (2012 series)
Part 3 is 154 chapters and 48 episodes (2014/2015 series)
Part 4 is 174 chapters and 39 episodes (2016 series)
Part 5 is 155 chapters
Part 6 is 158 chapters
Part 7 is 96 chapters but it switched to monthly so they're like 3 times longer than weekly chapters, it's also a reboot since the original story ended in Part 6 and this is in a completely new continuity
Part 8 is 55 monthly chapters so far, with a new one released on the 19th of every month, but they're only twice as long as weekly chapters

The fight itself wasn't awful, and it was accompanied by some of the best art in the manga as well as the famous ROADA ROLLA DA. The 'Same Stand' twist and the actual final blow being something as anticlimatic as punching an injured leg still makes it the worst final fight in my opinion. The fact that the FINAL BLOW of the FINAL FIGHT, of what was going to be the FINAL PART when Araki saw JoJo only as a trilogy was so bland and uninteresting, especially after scenes as great as the 20m Emerald Splash in the same 'arc' just left an awful taste in my mouth.

Because DIO's cells literally fused with Jonathan's after a while so they shared DNA. Giorno's father was technically an undead mishmash of two different men into one so he's got DIO's and Jonathan's DNA. Jotaro was worried that vampirism might be hereditary or that Giorno would have a predisposition to it so he wanted a sample of his skin to test his genetic structure to find out whether he'd have to kill him or not. That plotline was dropped after a while since Araki decided to focus on the new characters rather than the old. And he chose Koichi since it would be easier for someone who doesn't stand out as much as him and who has a Stand with a range of 5o metres to steal some of his skin without being aware of it.
