For me the experience is identical because I'm being held hostage by the cute design of a single boy. For Aldnoah it was Slaine, and for Kiznaiver it's Kacchon.
The only difference is that Kacchon is nowhere near as cute as Slaine was personality-wise. He's no Inaho either to be fair, but he's still basically a pile of visually adorable sawdust.
