I'll tell you outright, I tend to watch these shitty harems every season mostly to just rip on them. Asterisk, for better or for worse, got aniplex funding and S1 takes its fucking time but doesn't really set up the setting all that well and is generally agreed to be extremely slow and boring after the first arc.
The MC is nothing exactly special but he's the overpowered type so take that for what you will. The main girl, other than the extremely cliche introduction is decent. Every other girl except Kirin however is practically irrelevant and you'll find yourself more interested in the side characters since the main crew interactions are pretty boring. Music's notability for me only extends to the opening and ending only.

After watching Bahamut, I came to a conclusion that the trio of battle harems of the previous Fall Season were actually pretty decent in terms of characters, dynamics, and music in their own rights. There's something good going on for each of them but there's also a fair amount of bad.
Rakudai

Fights are well animated. People may argue that Asterisk had the overall better animation and I'm inclined to agree but where it mattered most, Rakudai had the most well executed fights with two of them being the most memorable battles in most harems. The soundtrack is pretty decent as well.

As much as people hype about Stella, her inclusion into the series could have been handled much better and she only comes off pretty shallow in her character and how the relationship aspect is unfortunately an integral part of the series. She isn't bad, but definitely could have been better. Stuff like winning with the power of love and the entire last arc being jarring as all hell didn't help.

Depending on the viewer, the series drags on unfortunately. Out of the three that aired in Fall, it was the most by the books LN harem series but it is what it is. I can't properly judge right now but as far as S1 goes, it wasn't all that great when the side characters added some much needed life to the series.
Overall, they're actually decent where battle harems are involved. There was obvious effort put into both of them.

The other 1/3rd of the Fall Trio, Antimagic. It's a horrendous adaptation but it's one of the few series that made me read ahead in the light novels. It has a semblance of plot and doesn't focus on tournament style fighting.
But it was objectively the worst-made one from the trio. I wouldn't even place Bahamut close to the trio though. Not that they're all that amazing but it just feels fitting to have the three together.

It's been a while since I've read it so there may be some inaccuracies.When Ouka was young her family was killed by a witch called Laugh Maker. LM controlled Ouka's body, made her kill her family and forced her to laugh over their corpses. This turned Ouka into angsty muh revenge. LM killed thousands this way but had her mind broken when she was young so she couldn't tell right from wrong.
In Vol 7 she finds LM again, but now she's been instilled with a sense of morals due to some split personality shenanigans and knows that what she did was wrong. She wants to die to repent, because the pain and guilt of living with her sins is destroying her from the inside. Ouka defeats her but refuses to kill her, instead forcibly turning her into an immortal vampire so she can spend the rest of eternity suffering.

Rakudai is better in that regard, but some people complain it has a more jarring romance line. The MC is non-dense, and doesn't tap his girlfriend straightaway due to political reasons and not due to being made of neutronium.
Gakusen is less that but shapes up to be better in the S1E13-24, and is overall decent, with more consistently good animation due to Aniplex-moneys well spent.

So you can't actually precog stuff like someone trying to sniper you across the road or things like that.
