For the most part, yes. We've had plenty of requests involving live action characters played by real people.
They'll be a bit harder to get filled, because transitioning real people into 2D drawing isn't always easy, especially for artists who have their own style. Also, it helps if the characters has a distinct and recognizable look.
But yeah, there's nothing stopping. You're allowed. Just provide decent source material.
