Even under normal circumstances the mind can create many illusions. What we perceive as reality is actually a working model of it created by our brains from sensory data. Consider an "object," such as a rock. The boundaries between it and its surroundings, the expectations (properties) and rules it follows are all entirely mental models. These models are quite effective under normal circumstances of interaction (picking up a rock, throwing it etc) and so we take them for granted, as an assumed truth. Science has found other ways for considering the rock than our mundane familiarity such as chemical and atomic composition.

We don't just continually maintain a constructed model of reality, we create simulations of them. You can think about the rock and imagine the trajectory it would take to hit a target. You can predict things about it before they happen, such as if you trip on it, you will probably fall or stumble. Even now you're doing such merely from reading these words. This ability, called imagination, is what allows us to reconstruct our history, tell stories, and communicate.

To us all of this is reflexive and natural, we take it as granted as a fundamental part of our experience. We trust it because it allows us to do a great many things with high efficacy. It is unnerving to think that something could go wrong with our perception and imagination, but the complexity of it can make it fragile. Perception and imagination can become mixed or confused. Most people have experienced some phenomenon such as hearing a phone ringing or another sound when it isn't.

Mistakenly seeking after an imagined ringing phone doesn't bring much risk for being wrong, but when there's something, a "vision" that tells you to do something with terrible consequences if you are wrong, one should excercise extreme caution. What if your vision is just an imagining? You have tremendous value to yourself, and all that value would be gone along with you. No, you shouldn't kill yourself, and it is certainly no fault of your own that there was a mix-up in your brain.

What you need is a specialist, a psychologist, a guide that can help you with these issues. I would argue that everyone does, but given the stakes involved, you have priority. Know that when you see one you are in complete control and they cannot possibly force you to do anything unless you are an immediate threat to yourself and others, which you definitely are not. If a clinical psychologist is within your means, I would strongly recommend finding one, and if not a therapist is still an excellent choice.

I'd like to think of myself as a shaman
There are good shamans and bad shamans
A bad shaman is what is known as an "energy stealer"
They illicit reactions from you by doing certain things, then feed off the resulting emotional reactions

This shaman who is contacting you is most certainly not you, If you were to have recollections from a past life you would most certainly know it was you through the experience. In fact it could be a the "dark one", they are very powerful and in fact immortal souls, somewhat akin to demonic entities but not the same. You would need to confirm this though.

Next time you are contacted, ask his name/signature. While this is happening, try to get a read on his energy, whether it is hot/cold, light/neutral/dark, benevolent/malevolent, and what his way of speech is.

If you don't believe in spiritualism, entities, and otherworldly dimensions, then don't bother and completely ignore this new voice, admonish it and tell it to leave you alone, usually that will do it.

If you need more help I can help, but I'm not so powerful myself, not so powerful as good shamans who have gone through ayahuasca rites. Simply an Alaskan Cup'ik who tries his best to follow the light.

He dont feel threatening and does have a bright and warm glow when he shows up, but then again if i was a bogus entity trying to troll i would try and emulate this sort of energy (assuming you can fake the energies, not sure thats a thing.

no being of light will ask you to kill yourself, its just someone after your energy, if it is something like your past self, and a shaman, does not make sense that you kill yourself at all, ask for help pray to God, put your mind in the highs, and if you have injured legs look for alternative help if you do not want to eat pills, acupunture its quite good, althouh i never tried it, a friend of mine goes to kung fu and use to have terrible pains, he improved a lot, but look for a good doctor chinesse who knows what he is doing
