>Lauria Bible and Ashley Freeman

>On the night of December 29, 1999, Danny and Kathy Freeman celebrated their daughter Ashley's sixteenth birthday; Ashley's best friend, Lauria Bible was also present at the mobile home in Vinita, Oklahoma. Ashley's boyfriend, Jeremy Hurst, was also present, but left at around 9:30 pm.
Sometime during the night or early morning hours of December 30, 1999, a fire erupted inside of the Freemans' mobile home. A concerned neighbor called the Fire Department at 5:30 am on the morning of December 30, 1999. Lauria's parents and the police immediately canvassed the mobile home for signs of the Freeman family and Lauria Bible. Kathy Freeman was found dead, but her husband Danny Freeman's body and the two girls' bodies were nowhere to be found. Police theorized that Danny Freeman killed his wife Kathy and abducted his daughter Ashley and her friend Lauria Bible; however, his remains were found a day later. The husband and wife had been shot in the head prior to the fire. Ashley and Lauria weren't among Danny Freeman's remains, nor were they anywhere in the vicinity. Lauria's purse was left behind with $200 inside, which suggested that the girls might have been abducted, but robbery was ruled out as a motive since $200 was left behind.

>The Disappearance of Ray Gricar

>Ten years ago, a prosecutor in Centre County, Pennsylvania, took a day off work and vanished.
Since then, the case of Ray Gricar has become one of the most intriguing and talked about missing persons stories in the country.

Investigators have taken dives to the bottom of lakes, dug up a grave, chased more than 300 reported sightings from Arizona to North Carolina, dropped fliers over Slovenia, consulted a psychic, interviewed a member of the Hell's Angels and enlisted NASA technology.
But no one has been able to find the veteran district attorney, who was 59 when he disappeared.
When he went missing that Friday morning on April 15, 2005, he left behind a live-in girlfriend, a beautiful and successful daughter and a bank account that was supposed to fund a fast-approaching retirement.
His red Mini Cooper was found abandoned near a bridge on the Susquehanna River about 55 miles away from his home. Months later his county-issued laptop and hard drive were found -- separately -- on the banks of the river, too damaged to read.
As far as hard evidence goes, that's about all police have. The best lead they got was the sighting of a woman who has not been identified, and information that he had searched online for ways to destroy a hard drive.
What's left is theory, speculation and a case that's been cold almost from the beginning.

>The Ice Box Murders

>Charles Frederick Rogers (1921 – disappeared June 23, 1965) was an American seismologist, pilot, and suspected murderer. Rogers disappeared in June 1965 after police discovered the dismembered bodies of his elderly parents in the refrigerator of the Houston home all three shared. The media later dubbed the crime "The Icebox Murders". Rogers has never been found and was declared dead in absentia in July 1975. He remains the only suspect in the murders, which are still considered unsolved.

>The Girl Scout Murders

>Three young girls were brutally murdered nearly 38 years ago in a wooded area that was once full of frolic and fun. Before that horrific day in 1977, it was a magic place for girls of the "Magic Empire" created for Girls Scouts to camp in and enjoy the wonders of the outdoors.

Camp Scott, located in Locust Grove, had been a retreat for Girl Scouts and Brownies since 1928. Its 410 wooded acres could accommodate 140 campers and 30 staff. The Cookie Trail road led to ten camping units scattered throughout the green beauty.

Two months before the murders, during a training session, a counselors' tent was ransacked and a note was left behind in a doughnut box. In the hand-written note, the writer declared that three campers would be murdered. The note was dismissed as a prank and trashed.

On the night of June 13, 1977, three girls were pulled from their Kiowa tent, bludgeoned, strangled, and sexually assaulted and left on a trail--two buried in their sleeping bags and another left, partially clothed nearby.

Lori Lee Farmer, 8, of Tulsa, Michele Guse, 9, of Broken Arrow, and Doris Denise Miller, 10, of Tulsa were discovered by camp counselor, Carla Willhite, while she was on her way to the showers at 6:00 a.m.

>The Disappearance of the Beaumont Children

>Glenelg is a popular seaside suburb in Adelaide, south Australia. The town’s sunny beaches provide relief from the urban bustle, and crowds come to relax there during the summer months. But on one bright day in January, darkness gathered at Glenelg’s shores.

It was Australia Day, January 26, 1966, and scorching hot in Adelaide. The Beaumont children were en route to the beach for a day’s swim. Jane, the oldest at age 9, was responsible for her younger siblings, Arnna, age 7, and Grant, age 4.

The siblings had boarded a public bus at 10 a.m. for a five-minute ride to the beach—a trip they completed only yesterday. Their mother Nancy spent the morning with her friend, while her husband Jim was at work. Nancy told her children to return home by 2 p.m. for lunch.

When the scheduled bus arrived without them, Nancy assumed her children simply missed their ride. But when the next bus arrived and the children were nowhere to be seen, the mother grew concerned.

She called the police soon thereafter. The following day, the Beaumont children were officially declared missing.

>According to eyewitnesses, the three children had disembarked at the beach around 10:15 a.m. They were then seen at 11 a.m. by an elderly woman who spotted them playing under a sprinkler. But someone else was also present: a lean, blond man in a blue bathing suit. He was first lying belly down, watching the Beaumont children play. Fifteen minutes later, the mystery man was playing with them.

At around 11:45 a.m. the children were seen buying snacks at a cake shop using a £1 bill. This would be the first clue that something was awry—as the children hadn’t left the house with that much money. Someone must’ve given it to them.

Not a missing person but definitley a weird death
A CEO has committed suicide by shooting himself multiple times with a nail gun, a coroner reported on Friday.

Richard Talley, 57, founder of American Title Services in Centennial, Colorado, was found dead in his home on Tuesday with up to eight wounds to the torso and head.

His company was being investigated by state insurance regulators at the time of Mr Talley's suicide.

On October 24, 1593, Gil Perez was doing his guard duties at the Governor’s palace in Manila. Chinese pirates had assassinated the governor — Gomez Perez Dasmarinas — the night before, but the guards still guarded the palace and awaited the appointment of a new governor. Tired, Gil Perez decided to lean against a wall and rest for a moment. When he opened his eyes, he was in a completely unfamiliar place. Unsure how to react, he continued to do his guard duties until he was approached by someone who started asking him questions and telling him that he was somewhere that it was impossible for him to be. Gil was in Mexico City’s Plaza Mayor.

When questioned, Gil Perez gave the story of his supposed teleportation and the death of his country’s governor. The assassination was unknown to those in Mexico City, but Gil Perez was reportedly wearing the uniform of the palace guards in Manila. He was placed in jail because it was thought he might be a deserter and/or a servant of the devil. After two months, a ship arrived from the Philippines, bringing news of the governor’s death. They said that they knew Gil Perez, though they did not know he was in Mexico City. The last time they had seen him was on October 23 at the palace.

The authorities in Mexico City decided to release Gil Perez and send him home

I'll make it short:

The Disappearance of Juan Gomez, 1986:
>trucker delivering sulfuric acid to Madrid decides to make a vacation, brings along wife and son
>witnesses report the family as a normal happy-looking one at various inns/rest stops
>inexplicably, near the township of Somosierra, witnesses report the truck speeds recklessly, stopping brusquely every so often
>the truck crashes, spilling sulfuric acid
>authorities find the husband and wife: they are only informed as to his supposed presence on the truck cabin when his grandparents call to ask about his condition
>authorities are unable to find the boy, or even confirm that he was even in the truck: the only evidence they have that he might have been on the truck is a cassette with children's songs in the truck's audio player and a child-sized shoe, along with witnesses describing that a child accompanied the husband and wife
>two shepherds come forward, state that shortly after the crash, they saw a black car pull up to the wreckage, and that two "strange men" in white robes got out of it and supposedly retrieved a large "bundle" (which many thought had been either the boy or his corpse) before returning to their vehicle and speeding away
>forensics confirmed that even with the acid, the boy would not have been "dissolved", pointing out that though burned, the bodies of the parents had been retrieved and were identifiable
>the case went nowhere, and the boy was never found

Not memeing here, I think it was suicide due to guilt with pedophilia, or possibly some work related thing. That's why he trashed his computer. He left his car near a bridge, probably jumped and his body got washed down the river before they could find it.

>The East Area Rapist/Original Night Stalker

>The Original Night Stalker is the name given to an unidentified serial killer and rapist who murdered at least ten people in Southern California from 1979 through 1986. The crimes initially centered on the then unincorporated areas of Rancho Cordova, Carmichael, and Citrus Heights east of Sacramento where at least fifty women were sexually assaulted between June 18, 1976, and July 5, 1979. The perpetrator was dubbed The East Area Rapist. In 2001, several of the Northern California rapes were linked by DNA to murders in Southern California. All of the DNA linked rapes occurred in Contra Costa County, but the distinctive MO of the rapist makes it extremely likely that the same man was also responsible for the attacks in the Sacramento area.

The Original Night Stalker/East Area Rapist was never apprehended; several suspects have been cleared through DNA, alibi, or other investigative means and methods.

>The Hinterkaifeck

>The farm’s descent into true strangeness started when the maid suddenly quit her job and wished to leave immediately. When asked why she had so suddenly decided to abruptly leave, Maria explained that she had been hearing strange voices and other noises in and around the house, as well as the sound of disembodied footsteps emanating from the attic. The terror stricken maid had become convinced that the house was haunted and wished to stay there not a moment longer. She was reportedly white faced and emaciated when she said her final goodbyes. After her departure, the Gruebers chalked it up to the poor woman being simply mentally disturbed.

Six months later, things got more bizarre when in the middle of March, 1922, Andreas was surveying his property after a snowstorm and discovered odd footprints in the snow that originated in the thick surrounding forest and led right up to the house. Eerily, there were no footprints to be found that actually led back out to the woods. Alarmed that a potentially dangerous intruder could be hiding in his home, Andreas conducted a thorough search of the house, and even the barn and tool shed, but found no further footprints and no sign of an intruder.

>On April 4th, 1922, people in town became concerned about the Gruebers. They decided to inspect inside the barn, and upon opening the door were met with a gruesome sight. There lying in a pool of blood were the bodies of Andreas, his wife, his daughter Viktoria, and the elder granddaughter Cäzilia. The youngest grandchild, Josef was found dead in his cot in his mother’s bedroom, and the maid, Maria, was also found killed in her bed chamber. Both had also bled profusely and were found lying in pools of coagulated blood. In total six people, all five Gruber family members plus one maid, had been brutally killed in cold blood.

The Tara Calico disappearance gets me, mostly because of this pic that kinda looks like her tied up, found after she disappeared from a bike ride.

But I hear that a possibility is that some stupid kids probably hit her while she was on her bike, and she ended up getting buried somewhere. Both are sad outcomes though.

>The Cleveland Torso Murderer

>Kingsbury Run was a forbidding and shunned place during the Great Depression in Cleveland, due to the amount of homeless that had set up camp there

It was through this desolate region that two young boys walked home from school on a warm afternoon in September 1935. As they ambled along a weed-covered slope known as Jackass Hill, one challenged the other to a race and they plunged down the steep incline to the bottom. The older of the two, James Wagner, reached the bottom first and as he stopped running, he noticed something white in the bushes a short distance away. He peered a little closer and was stunned to see that the "something" was a pale, naked body from which the head had been severed!

The police arrived soon after and started their investigation. The body was that of a young, white male, clad only in a pair of black socks. The man’s head and his genitals had been removed. The body had been positioned on its back with the legs stretched out and the arms placed directly at its sides. And as they began searching the area, they discovered another shocking surprise! Just 30 feet away from the first body was another corpse, this time of an older man. This body was placed in the same position and the head and genitals had also been removed.

The area was cordoned off and soon a clump of hair was seen protruding from the ground. Officers carefully dug around it and discovered one of the missing heads. The other was also found a short distance away, as were the severed genitals. It looked as though the killer had merely tossed them away like garbage. One thing the search did not reveal however was the murder site. It appeared as though the men had been killed somewhere else, as no blood was found on the ground or on the bodies. The corpses had obviously been cleaned after bleeding from the fatal wounds had ceased.

>The Children Who Went Up in Smoke

>For nearly four decades, anyone driving down Route 16 near Fayetteville, West Virginia, could see a billboard bearing the grainy images of five children, all dark-haired and solemn-eyed, their names and ages—Maurice, 14; Martha 12; Louis, 9; Jennie, 8; Betty, 5—stenciled beneath, along with speculation about what happened to them. Fayetteville was and is a small town, with a main street that doesn’t run longer than a hundred yards, and rumors always played a larger role in the case than evidence; no one even agreed on whether the children were dead or alive. What everyone knew for certain was this: On the night before Christmas 1945, George and Jennie Sodder and nine of their 10 children went to sleep (one son was away in the Army). Around 1 a.m., a fire broke out. George and Jennie and four of their children escaped, but the other five were never seen again.

>Nagoya Pregnant Woman Ripper Murder

>Man comes home to his apartment in Nagoya, Japan and finds the door unlocked and all the lights shut off. He yells for his pregnant wife, but nobody answers.
>Goes to his room and changes out of his work clothes. Suddenly hears a baby crying.
>Flips on the lights in the front room.
>Finds the mutilated body of his wife and her newborn baby at her feet.
>The wife had been tied up and had her stomach cut open.
>The killer had delivered the baby and cut off his umbilical cord.
>Man can't find the phone in his house and has to call the police from a neighbor's.
>Phone turns out to have been put into the woman's stomach, along with her car keys.
>Baby survives, but the police never find the woman's murderer.
>Husband has a solid alibi. Only possible suspect is a mysterious man who was seen earlier walking around the apartments and looking for somebody named "Nakamura." (Not the couples' name though.)
>Man and his son leave Japan in 1999, case reaches statute of limitations in 2003. Becomes "unresolved incident", which means the police have stopped investigating it and the murderer can't be charged anymore.

There's a lot of articles about this case in Japanese. This is the only English one I could find though:

I love these kind of threads, they're the only decent threads on /x/.
I'll add one too:

Diane Augat
>Augat was last seen at 11 a.m. on April, 10, 1998 when she walked away from her home. She is on medication and left her residence without it. In the years prior to her disappearance, Augat battled manic depression, drug addiction and alcoholism.
>Less than a week after her family reported her missing, the phone at her mother's home rang. Since no one was inside at the time, the answering machine clicked on. Her mother remembers the short message: "Help, help," Augat said. Then, a scuffling sound, as though someone was grabbing the phone from her hands. "Hey, gimme that," Augat said. The call ended. The caller ID gave the name of the location as "Starlight".
>A bartender at the Hay Loft Tavern at Little Road and State Road 52 reported seeing Augat on April 10. On the day that she called her family asking for help, a waitress at the Inn on the Gulf in Hudson saw Augat eating lunch
>On April 16, 1998, a pedestrian found the tip of Augat's middle right finger, which was identified by a fingerprint match, near U.S. 19 and New York Avenue in Hudson. About a week after that, a bag of her neatly folded clothes was found at an Odessa convenience store.
>One of the last places Diane Augat was seen was the Coral Sands Motel, which was managed by Gary Robert Evers. In 2001, Evers was arrested on an unrelated murder charge. Augat's family was informed that Evers was a suspect in her disappearance. Her finger was found a block away from the motel.

The Keddie Murders (Cabin 28 Murders)

>The murders took place in Keddie, California in cabin 28 during the late evening of April 11, 1981. The victims were Glenna Sue Sharp, known as Sue (age 36), her son John (age 15), and his friend, Dana Wingate (age 17). At some time after the crime was discovered, Sue's daughter, Tina (age 12), was determined to be missing. Her skull and several other bones were recovered in 1984 inCamp Eighteen, California, which is in Butte County.
>Examination of the bodies determined that each of the victims had been bludgeoned with hammers of two distinct sizes, and Sue and John had been stabbed repeatedly, including stab wounds to their throats. Dana Wingate was manually strangled to death and bludgeoned with another weapon, while Sue was bludgeoned with a Daisy Powerline 880 rifle brought by the killer(s). One pellet fired from the rifle, along with several pieces of the barrel sights, were recovered at the scene, but the rifle itself was never recovered. A bloody knife was also among evidence found in a trash bin at the Keddie General Store.
>The case grew cold, but in 1984 the cranium portion of a skull was recovered near Camp Eighteen, a distance of roughly 29 miles from Keddie. Months later, after an anonymous caller to the Butte County Sheriff's office claimed the skull was Tina's, the Camp Eighteen area was searched again for several hours over a period of days. A jawbone and dozens of other bones were found, along with other potential evidence. The bones were later confirmed to be those of Tina Sharp. From these discoveries, no new information regarding the crime surfaced in the media. However, Butte County Sheriff's Office released both the original and back-up copy of the audio recording of the 'anonymous call' to an undisclosed member of law enforcement. Both recordings were released to the same person at the same time, only to disappear.

Burger Chef Murders

>10:00 pm, Friday night, November 17th, 1978:A deliveryman arrives at the Burger Chef restaurant on Crawfordsville Road in Speedway to find the doors unlocked but no one inside. The four young people working at the restaurant that nightare gone.

>The restaurant was clean, with no signs of a struggle. About $500 was missing from the cash register. Police initially brushed it off as "odd."Even though the women's purses and a jacket were still in the restaurant, police didn't process the Burger Chef for evidence.

>Assistant Manager Jayne Friedt's car was found abandoned in the morning, a few miles away from the restaurant – parked near the Speedway police station.

>Two days later, a couple found the four young people murdered. Their bodies were discovered in a wooded area off State Road 37 in Johnson County. Found in WTHR tape archives, this announcement from investigators, "The Speedway Police Department and Indiana State Police announce the bodies of Jayne C. Friedt, age 20, Mark S. Flemmonds, age 17, Daniel R. Davis, 16 years old, and Ruth E. Shelton, age 17, have been discovered late this afternoon in Johnson County, Indiana."

>The bodies of the four young people were found in three different areas of the field, killed three different ways. The handle from the hunting-knife used to kill Jayne Friedt was never found. The gun fired to kill Ruth Shelton and Daniel Davis was also missing. Mark Flemmonds was brutally beaten, possibly with a chain. None of those pieces of evidence were ever recovered.

The Burger Chef murder case is still unsolved.

This fucking guy... I spent a few days over last Summer reading every one of his break-ins, insane shit. You can read about each and every one of the break-ins in detail at this site (but be warned it's legitimately terrifying): http://www.thequesterfiles.com/html/the_east_area_rapist__aka_the_.html

He was simultaneously: heinously evil, unbelievably cowardly, and incredibly lucky. At one time he came face to face with an officer and managed to flee.

One home he broke into, saw a rifle leaning against the wall, and removed every bullet, he then woke the couple and tried to get the husband to grab his gun to discover it was empty, but the husband wouldn't move as he was at gunpoint.

The guy's MO was to have the woman tie up her husband or boyfriend and have him lay on his stomach. He'd then set plates, glasses, cups, etc. on the man's back (so he could hear if he was moving) and take the woman into another room to rape her.

The Empty Tomb.

Here's some other stuff I remember

>he identified females he wanted
>he then stalked them to find the routine
>usually only attack single story houses
>he attacked at night except for one occasion
>he would park a few blocks away and walk on foot to his target or ride a bike (usually stolen)
>his final two attempts at rape failed (the last couple had an emergency plan in case he broke in)
>after these final two failed attempts he went on hiatus
>he reappeared years later in So. California where he would rape and then murder his victims

>police didn't process the Burger Chef for evidence.
70's cop policy of wait and see. I can't imagine explaining that shit to a victims family.

Richard Ramirez doesn't have shit on this guy. EARS/ONS is a monster compared to him. One time he brought along a German Shepard that was missing a toe and let him eat his murdered victim's leftover dinner.
>>
>>17515770
He wanted to suicide, but wanted people to think it was a murder.

Or a secondhand suit. I think Prof. Abott has a point believing that it was something personal and probably a natural death. Though I don't buy his suffocation theory, I rather think of a pre-existing neurological condition.

Hinterkaifeck is unofficially solved. Some years ago it was used as a schooling example for police students and they later claimed that they came to a very good conclusion. However, as the culprit is dead, he can't be officially charged and the information can't be released to the public.

The Autobahn-riddle or Yog'tze case.

An unemployed Manfred Stoll in Germany seemingly had a case of paranoia. He often talked about "them" being out to get him. One evening he seems to be especially stressed out. Suddenly he says to his wife "Now I've got it!" writes down the letters "YOG'TZE", quickly crosses it out and leaves.
He's later seen in his favourite pub and orders a beer. Before he can drink it however, he falls from his chair, and leaves.
Late at night, he visits an old lady who lives next to his parents' house and asks for advice as something terrible would happen. She refuses to let him in and sends him to his parents, but he refuses and drives off.
At 3 AM his crashed car is found by two truckers alongside a highway. They spot two men at the car who quickly disappeared when they came closer.
Inside the car, they found Manfred Stoll, completely nude and seriously injured. He was able to tell them that two men had been with him but ran away. When asked whether they were his friends, he denied. Stoll died on the way to the hospital.

It was later discovered, that Stoll's injuries weren't caused by the accident in which his car was damaged. He had probably been run over by a car and placed on the front seat of his car.

The meaning of YOG'TZE is unknown. The best guess was YO6TZE, which seemed to be a Rumanian radio identification code. This, however, lead to nothing.

Outstanding contribution faggot.
>>

Note: In almost all English sites Stoll's last words are mistranslated. He claimed that the men who were with him ran away, not that they had beaten him.

wasn't it a neighbor who wanted to inherit the place? That's why they fed the animals and shit
>>
>>17519156
That's one possible suspect, one of the most likely ones. It could also have been someone who just wanted the old father dead and it got out of hand.
>>
>>17519185
I would agree if there was signs of struggle and they were found scattered around the property. But the kid and maid were in the house bled out. Idk how that would be so if they just wanted the father dead. Seems way too calculated and brutal.

>stole 500 bucks

Sounds like a a biker gang is responsible for this one. Obviously multiple people, and chains are commonly used by bikers as a weapon (usually to trash other vehicles while moving). Possibly an initiation ritual, or just a bunch of methed out criminals looking for a fun night. But my best guess is bikers (cause they were actually dangerous back then.)

But it's just a guess

Reading it made me a little uncomfortable as my first job was at a DQ in a truck stop. Worst we ever got though were belligerent lot lizards. Still creepy when cleaning up at night and looking out over the pitch black parking lot.

yeah figured, and the black kid getting the brunt of their meth rage.

Imagine going on time tours and killing bad people with future guns over and over, but always go back to your timeline

I hate nonchalant murderers, liek just take the money and leave, why ya gotta murder people?

This is why I suggested it might be an initiation, you only want bad motherfuckers in your biker gang yo
>>
>>17519255
What would ya do homie? In that situation?
>>
>>17519258
I'd rather make them shoot me in the restaurant than go along, contemplate my own death, and then get bludgeoned with a chain until I die.
>>
>>17519266
I'd run from that restaurant like a Russian from a Chechen warcriminal

You just need to be smart and go out when there's an agenda as in don't be wanderer or go out with your friends and hang it at a sketchy place. Wealth is security so just focus on a job and mind your business.

Just looked up the "Best of Unsolved Mysteries" on Amazon.
115.00 USD
Holy shit. At least the other misc collections are cheaper.

One of the theories was that one of the victims recognized one of the perps, so they all had to die.
>>
>>17519782
For some reason the biker theory from anon rings true to me. Some people just have bloodlust. And an empty, deserted burger joint at night with no witnesses in the laid back 70's was probably too easy for them to pass up.
