Any spoopy stories about the Pacific Northwest? Anything other than obvious Bigfoot would be cool.

Not really really spoopy, but a birth of a myth.
When I was around 13 or 14 in middle school. My friends and I made up some stupid story about a beast that lived in the mountains/forest around town. Talked about it on late summer nights around a fire. Even throughout high school it was brought up.
The other week I hear some kids across the street from my house speak its name.
>I'm 28 now
>mfw it still lives
We call this creature the Cougarmonkey.
I'm not kidding either. I'm not sure if they actually believe the stories about with its stupid name and all or if its just a local meme now.
Either way it made me smile.
