I'm looking to get into it and have been reading up on the history of it regarding Dee and Kelly as well as setting up the tables and sigils.
I was wondering if anyone here has any first hand experience with it?

You'll need a firm grasp of Agrippa, ritual work more generally, and the relevant parts of the Bible.

No, at least not for me, not nearly as important as understanding the system.

I have this book called "The Complete Enochian Dictionary" and basically in reading the intro and backstory it turned me off of Enochian completely... in fact, if I'm being honest, it turned me off of all magic systems that I do not invent for myself.
Here was the big takeaway: all "channeled" messages are open for interpretation, largely fabricated, and have no more basis in getting a handle on the true fabric of the universe than Spongebob Squarepants does.
So if you're going to use ceremonial magic at all, remember what it's for: to focus your intent. So sit down, and figure out what works best for you.
For me, I found that just putting myself in a meditative state, grabbing a black sharpie, and drawing a symbol from inspiration that metaphorically symbolizes the effect I'm going for really does wonders. Lots of hard results from that. Your mileage may vary.

It's important that the more powerful systems don't fall into the wrong hands, to be honest. This is the reaction you were supposed to have, even if it fails to reflect reality.
