syfy has always ripped off of stupid ideas
that said, they could have at least called it a short story rather than a creepypasta. hell they could have just loosely based it on the story, and not credit the author for inspiration.
touting it as a creepypasta is purely to attract a new generation, since most of their dedicated viewers got tired of their bullshit. i switched over to Chiller a long time ago and its way better. between that and the Science channel, i'm golden.

You lack RESPECT! Defiance was awesome. Some of the best sci-fi since Babylon 5. The power play between the groups was dynamic, organic, and held main-plot repercussions. The character arcs were incredible, especially between Datak Tarr and Rafe McCawley.
They built an incredible world and hardly anyone gave it half a chance because they were too busy sniggering at a stupid F2P tie-in MMO.
