Knights of Sidonia is a really cool sci-fi anime/manga with disturbing imagery.
Without spoiling too much, it's a post-apocalyptic space themed anime/manga about giant aliens and how the last remaining humans are at war with them.

A friend was watching that. I figured since they were ripping off a Muse title, it might at least be worth a chance. I didn't finish it, it was pretty mediocre, IMO, felt like it was trying to be Attack on Titan (which I also didn't care for) in space.

Can someone recommend an anime or manga with a creepy, foreboding atmosphere? I'm looking for something that is genuinely disturbing.
