Since 2011. Began noticing the deterioration of quality in threads and took hiatus' here and there, but still tried to be a contributing member of the board where it called, thus here I am, lurking like some egregore. Innawoods threds, UrbEx meetups, almost got the chance to meet a chick from one of them and check out this old factory, but unfortunately that fell through
>as of which I'm wondering if we would have given the condition of the one talked about
Considering how rare it is to find another so close-by in this state, it would have been a hell of a ride.
>>17652487
so i've got at least four more hours before i start actually doing shit

Pls anon. Do it. The power of the Junj is within you!

>fuck you ito why you gotta be drawin my conscious state like dis
>>17652516
now that I have a steady income again I'm considering buying some ito, I see amazon has a hardcover of gyo
>>17652523
looks like we're going into the last leg
get ready
>>17652517
I adore the soundtrack so much. I listen to it while doing everything from writing to dozing to masturbating.
Even songs like Schizophrenia have begun to have a weird calming effect on me. I also have no idea why the novel itself has such a strong pull on me. Perhaps because I've always felt like everything is wrong.
>>17652529
>>17652527
get it, i could not recommend it enough
also make sure you get both volumes, idk if they do bundles or put it all in one book anymore
>>17652533
i heard they made gyo into an anime OVA, but they totally altered the story so i can't be arsed to watch it, especially with the female protag
because she was such an important part for the male protag and her degradation and all of that, man it kills me
don't fuck up gyo, gyo is my baby
>>17652538
i have a lot of feelings about this, clearly
so i'm just gonna shut up
>>17652538
Loved Gyo. Most fucked up shit I've ever seen put to the page and sold. That is one story that does NOT go where you expect it to.
Only had the pleasure of reading it once though. I should check it out again, maybe try the OVA.
>>17652551
has anyone else watched the cube trilogy?
>>17652552
i'd be cautious about the OVA tbqh but godspeed anon
>>17652540
It's okay, anon. I too understand those feels.
I never read any thing like this before, the weirdness reminds me of Akira though.
>>17652557
>>17652556
i don't think anything could beat akira
but then again, i think i love that more intensely than junji ito so that's probably just my major bias
>>17652554
Thanks dumpanon.
I saw the first Cube, haven't tried the rest though. The Cube would make a great SCP.
Ever watched The Circle?
>>17652554
>has anyone else watched the cube trilogy?
I have. I remember the first one was good, the second one was decent, and I don't remember if the third was good or not. but I enjoyed them.
>>17652564
>>17652563
for me, the third was a clusterfuck, but i kind of hold it dearly to my heart
i'm not sure why
it has such an interesting premise
>>17652567
>>17652562
you should finish the trilogy
and i don't think i have

just read right to left, like you're reading a physical manga
>>17652843
nevermind, i fucked up again
read right to left, top to bottom
and we're done. let's chat amongst ourselves now.
so i've got about two more hours to kill
anyone have any spoopy happenings occur or nah
nothing spoopy ever happens to me
>>17652854
what kind of spoopy things would you want to happen to you, anon?
>>17652863
well it would be nice if there was someplace worth exploring in my area, but the nearest concentration of stuff is in the twin cities which is like 2 hours away.
>>17652867
I take that back, there is a state hospital near where I live that is supposedly haunted. but it's still being used, so it's not like you can just break in and go looking for evp's. but I know a guy who works there and swears it's haunted as fuck, and another friend of mine said she visited someone there and was "followed home" by a ghost or something. said it kept asking her to help it and she kept telling it to fuck off and go to the light. I guess eventually it took the hint and left.
>>17652867
well, maybe you should check out those unknown areas, anon
there could be some mad spoopy gold in the places no one ever talks about
or you could summon demons or some shit, that's always an option
>>17652871
that sounds really cool
i would freak out and probably never sleep again if a ghost followed me home
>>17652873
idk man, southern minnesota is pretty boring. I don't mind living here, it's nice and quiet, but I think most ghosts even get bored here. even the cemeteries in my area have a chill, peaceful vibe.
demons, I treat them like bees. I leave them alone and they leave me alone, and it's probably better that way.
northern minnesota has a different energy to it. the last time I went up that way I was on edge the whole time, to the point where I really don't feel I could chalk it up to my usual anxiety. I wouldn't mind going back there sometime and seeing if it feels the same.
some of the open areas in wyoming had an oppressive feel to them. felt like native spirits were hanging around and didn't want whitey on their land or something. which was odd because I wasn't really thinking about anything like that when I was driving thru.
>>17652884
> living in inland US
well, there's you're problem m8
>>17652891
you have a valid point. I think for me, though, the problem of insufficient spoopage is worth putting up with in exchange for the benefits of low population density.
gives me an idea though - there are a lot of abandoned barns and farm buildings around. we don't have much urban decay but there is a fair bit of rural decay. been thinking of grabbing a camera and visiting some places sometime. I don't expect any spoops though, just neat-looking rundown buildings.
>>17652904
take chances, anon
i know you can do it
>>17652908
I hope so
what about you anon? anything creepy in your neck of the woods?
>>17652926
not really. at home i deal with crazy neighbors and shit.
once, i heard a dog bark right next to me and i've never owned a dog, and then another time, something invisible touched my butt.
but that's all i've ever really dealt with.
rural suburbia will be the death of my, i swear. and that's why i go to school in a big city.
>>17652931
I used to sometimes feel a cat jumping up on the bed even when there was no cat around
>>17652945
invisible animals are an epidemic
>>17652947
hard to clean up after too
>>17652952
i am so sick of their invisible shit
>>17652957
not really spoopy but related
>few years ago
>get home from work, get out of car
>smell dogshit
>look around yard
>it's dusk so I can't see too great
>but I'm pretty sure I see what looks like an enormous dog turd
>get mega pissed off that I have to go clean this up now, I can smell it halfway across the yard, it must be just awful up close
>go into house to get a bag to clean it up, still bitching
>wife offers to go clean it up for me, since I had a long day already
>she goes out, comes back in, says she can't find any dogshit anywhere
>the fuck you talking about, it was huge and right over by the one tree in the yard
>she said there's nothing over there but that tree stump we always mow around
>go outside and look
>smell has faded somewhat
>take a closer look at "turd"
>feel like a retard as it dawns on me that I mistook a tree stump, one I've mowed around a hundred times, for a doberman-sized shit
>neighbour's dog must have been let out right before I came home or something, hence the strength of the smell
and that is why you should not rely on your senses to give you accurate information, whether it's something paranormal, or a tree stump.
>>17652639
that was a pretty fucking lame ending to an otherwise compelling story
