"All of the sudden I realized that I had just done something that separated me from the human race and it was something that could never be undone, I realized that from that point on I could never be like normal people. I must have stood there in that state for 20 minutes. I have never felt an emptiness of self like I did right then and I never will forget that feeling. It was like I crossed over into a realm I could never come back from."

Most of the statements are these guys expressing loneliness in their psyche or alienation, so anyone that doesn't follow social norm 100% will probably have experienced similar sociology, and experience empathy.

Aside from gacy that freak was honestly talking about dead people stench.

It starts with alienating social structure, which can help get a round about understanding of the human body and how the flesh makes a person. That kind of mentality makes a really good doctor! It does take a sociopath to cut open someones side without having a panic attack.

1.) Aspergers isn't and has never been classified as a mental illness. It's a developmental disorder. They're completely unrelated.

2.) No one is born mentally ill; that's a scientific fact. Genes only account for 12% chance of developing mental illness.
That's why the "Bio-psycho-social" model is universally accepted and the "bio-bio-bio" model has been completely rejected.

We would say your fallen nature because this world no longer represents God in all his glory, the nature within that wants to return to God, but also your mind can hear spirits in this world that sometimes thrive on pain, etc. There is also just your natural self that doesn't understand beyond hunger, fear, etc.

Killing an innocent though, yeah that's gotta fuck with you. I have a feeling a lot of mass shooters start killing random people and realize how shitty it makes them feel and just give up, and either shoot themselves or wait for the cops to kill them. If your mom was shitting on you because you haven't "done something" with your life, she is a FUCKING BITCH.

The best and most worthy people I know still aren't sure what they're supposed to do with their life.

Your mom is PROJECTING... she's seeing that you're not a wild success and thinks it has something to do with her success/failure as a mother. That rant was 100% selfish. Tell her to kiss your ass. Move out. Hit the road. Hitch or sneak on trains and see the country. FInd food or work as you go. Live by your wits. You do not owe ANYBODY. You are FREE my friend, and you are a marvel.

So you don't know what to do with your life? So fucking what? The world is a confusing fucked up place... why WOULD you be motivated? Why would you have direction? That's unreasonable, that's just stupid... only the insane or repressed are ultra-productive right out of the gates in this world.

yeh, a thread originally about scary quotes by serial killers that sounded like it had serious potential to be interesting, yet quickly devolved into a bunch of fuckin' losers posting quotes from their mothers and other family members expressing their disappointment in how much of a fuckin' loser their child is. Boo-fuckin'-hoo, your mum hates you, your brother said you were unpopular, your ex girlfriend was crazy.

I saw this thread and thought "hmm, this should be interesting", evidently people like you saw this thread, and thought "yeh mum mum said she hated me once, she's like a serial killer!"

Fuckin' idiots.

Just think about that for a second. Let it sink into that thick, tin-foil wrapped head of yours you fuckin' sperg.

Talkin' about money for acces to the board'n shit. What I'm saying is hey, how about instead of moping around and fuckin' being a big baby and having a cry 'coz your mum hates you, how about you STAY ON TOPIC!

If you wanna go and circlejerk over who the biggest loser is and whose family member hates them more, or who can pretend to be a fuckin psychologist the hardest, go to /soc/ or reddit, or hell, don't fuckin' go into a thread about SCARY QUOTES BY SERIAL KILLERS and make a post about yourself. the "urges" are always directed toward some reason for disliking the person they're directed toward, which is childish. that feels mean to type but that's all I can think to describe it? its dangerous when someone with those kinds of feelings can get healthy enough to go out and do what they imagine doing.

if someone still wants to hurt someone else after coming to the conclusion "I don't liek them" THEN you have a problem. They believe they are more important that someone else, which is subjective.

This bit taken from his Wiki, including a quote of one victim's brother at watching his execution, is a bit unsettling.

>McVeigh chose William Ernest Henley's poem "Invictus" as his final statement. Just before the execution, when he was asked if he had a final statement, he declined. Jay Sawyer, a relative of one of the victims, wrote, "Without saying a word, he got the final word." Larry Whicher, whose brother died in the attack, described McVeigh as having "a totally expressionless, blank stare. He had a look of defiance and that if he could, he'd do it all over again." -
http://www.trutv.com/library/crime/serial_killers/notorious/mcveigh/updates.html

if anyone's interested, NYTimes did a piece on his life and personality, looking into his motives and his zealous beliefs, conspiracy theorists that influenced his thinking, and such.

>That kind of mentality makes a really good doctor! It does take a sociopath to cut open someones side without having a panic attack.

I know what you're saying, anon. But I work in health care, and "sociopath" isn't the right word. Most doctors (even pathologists who do autopsies) have appropriate social attitudes and behaviors and are capable of empathy. It's possible they became doctors/surgeons/pathologists to help other people.

Sorry I'm being so picky. It's just the "sociopath" thing I wanted to clear up, as this is /x/, and there's quotes by a few in this thread.
(you're right as far as most "normal" people, or maybe to the average person, working in an operating room or in a morgue would be a fucked up job!!)

I think it's interesting what you said about alienation and understanding the "flesh makes a person"... People joke about being freaked out that they have a skeleton inside them here all the time!
Even if we don't believe in "souls" or a higher power, we don't function day to day with being hyper-aware of the larger reality. It's like we all go on auto-pilot to do our 9-5 without stopping to wonder at the marvel/fuckedupedness of it all.
I do think people that struggle finding a balance with this type of thinking could develop mental disorders - and mental illnesses can definitely cause problems along this line of thought.

>>implying people haven't been killing other people since the dawn of man (other animals do it too)
animals certainly don't murder because they're in a jealous rage of passion or for sexual gratification.
>Literally not killing people separates us from all other humans that have ever existed. Less people are killing now than ever. That guys just a pussy.
Regardless of the number of people killing or people killed at any one time throughout history, as long as there have been humans living together - there has been fighting one on one over anger resulting in death, skirmishes and battles between groups, civilizations and cultures decimated by conquerors and war. And it's likely there have been psychologically disturbed humans killing for other reasons throughout our history as well, it's just that it's only been in more modern times that society sees the full reality of the crime.

I believe one human killing another, in any capacity, much change something in the killer; or at the least, the killer knows some feeling as result of that that those of us who have never taken a life could never know. Which is all the quote in OP's post was really getting at.

You say it yourself
>killing an innocent though, yeah that's gotta fuck with you.

But I suspect most rage killers plan to kill themselves or commit suicide-by-cop as opposed to saying "what the hell, this sucks, might as well die".

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the death of Jan Palach, a statue sculpted by András Beck as a tribute to the student was transported from France to the Czech Republic. The statue was installed in Mělník, the city where Jan Palach did his studies.

Jan Palach (11 August 1948 – 19 January 1969) was a Czech student of history and political economy at Charles University in Prague. He committed self-immolation as a political protest against the end of the Prague Spring resulting from the 1968 invasion of Czechoslovakia by the Warsaw Pact armies.

P.S.
>Its is important, too, to realize that deadly violence among primitives is not even remotely comparable to modern warfare. When primitives fight, two little bands of men shoot arrows or swing war-clubs at one another because they want to fight; or because they are defending themselves, their families, or their territory. In the modern world soldiers fight because they have been brainwashed into believing in some kook ideology such as that of Nazism, socialism, or what American politicians choose to call "freedom". In any case the modern soldier is merely a pawn, a dupe who dies not for his family or his tribe but for the politicians who exploit him. If he's unlucky, maybe he does not die but comes home horribly crippled in a way that would never result from an arrow- or a spear-wound. Meanwhile, thousands of non-combatants are killed or mutilated. The environment is ravaged, not only in the war zone, but also back home, due to the accelerated consumption of natural resources needed to feed the war machine. In comparison, the violence of primitive man is relatively innocuous.

>“Confront a corpse at least once… the absolute absence of life is the most disturbing and challenging confrontation you will ever have”
- David Bowie, Esquire Magazine, 2004

Bonus Material: is a must-read for anyone interested in the usual /x/ stuff, specifically death and the macrabre. It discusses both the ways these are confronted in art and music (not just Bowie's, but also in the specific works of classic artists who had direct influences on Bowie), and how Bowie himself expressed and symbolized death and "visceral reality" throughout the entirety of his career.

Fuck off. I work in a funeral home. The first time I saw a dead body it was like being in a room with a fucking bottle of coke or a piece of furniture.

Sometimes I think about how small of a twist it would take for me to snap, about how little effort it would take to destroy everything and everyone that I've ever cared about, and about how easy it would be for me to justify it and move on like nothing ever happened.

Then I close my eyes and smile to myself because I know that I'm still in control my life, and that if I really wanted to that I could be in control of everyone else's lives instead.

Anyone else know that feel?

I legitimately don't think some people can become better. Being too focused on yourself generally makes you a shitty person.

For example, i used to be a heroin addict when i was 18-20 and felt like shit about it the whole time. Meanwhile I had 'friends' who were living the same way, doing the same things and had no issue at all with what they were becoming.

I'd go into withdrawal and seek help at a hospital or beg a dealer to hook me up with the promise that i'd pay them back in the future if I was broke. They'd go into withdrawal and go rob a 15 year old kid or break into houses.

Not to toot my own horn, but I knew these people before they were junkies and they were always shit people. I think there's a reason I got clean and they're still stealing to get their next hit. Some people think of themselves as the protagonist in a videogame sort of, as in no matter what they do it isn't wrong and it doesn't matter if it fucks people over, because they're still the main character.
>>
>>17634590
breaking into houses sounds fun desu, even tho a scumbag thing to do stealing hardworking peoples things. still sounds fun.
>>
>>17634558
Ok, I'm legitimately curious. How is knowing how much personal agency I have delusional? Are you implying that someone of modest means couldn't destroy everything around them with a little bit of forethought and knowledge about such things?

I'm not delusional, just quietly psychopathic. Learn the difference.

Calm down there Bateman. Your delusion stems from the fact that you think you'd have control, when in reality you'd probably end up dead if you decided to act out what you described in your past post.

You're no more capable than the average person, friend. Your delusions are that of grandeur. And while i personally believe you're someone seeking attention in the cringiest way possible, i'll still humor your fake internet persona for a minute to let you know that you're a fucking loser either way.

you work with dead bodies. WOW.

yeah, except it's not everyone I've cared about. Just the idea of destroying someone who hurt me devastatingly.
But I don't think "how easy it would be to... move on like nothing ever happened". I don't even get that far with thinking of it, I'd be destroying my own life by doing that. It'd be kill myself or jail. (like >>17634662 pointed out, as opposed to having all the control, you'd
>probably end up dead if you decided to act out what you described)

It's maybe cathartic to fantasize about murder when you're pushed to the brink of absolute, blinding hate. Not that anyone talks about it.
It may not be that completely unusual to ponder suicide and taking a bunch of people with you. Or going so far as to imagine destroying everything around you. It probably depends on what type of person you are and the experiences that have shaped your life, and all kinds of other factors (that happen to be impossible to guess about an anonymous person on the internet.)
So no, I don't think that what you said necessarily makes you delusional or "quietly psychopathic" or a loser, for that matter. But you would know better than I would.

Actual quote from a US Army Intelligence Officer (Source: America's Spies Want Edward Snowden Dead by Benny Johnson of Buzzfeed).

>“I think if we had the chance, we would end it very quickly. Just casually walking on the streets of Moscow, coming back from buying his groceries. Going back to his flat and he is casually poked by a passerby. He thinks nothing of it at the time starts to feel a little woozy and thinks it’s a parasite from the local water. He goes home very innocently and next thing you know he dies in the shower.”
-A US Army Intelligence Officer

Scary what Snowden uncovered about the NSA. Scary, too, the hatred for him by those who view him as a traitor.

The Unreturning
by Wilfred Owen

Suddenly night crushed out the day and hurled
Her remnants over cloud-peaks, thunder-walled.
Then fell a stillness such as harks appalled
When far-gone dead return upon the world.

There watched I for the Dead; but no ghost woke.
Each one whom Life exiled I named and called.
But they were all too far, or dumbed, or thralled,
And never one fared back to me or spoke.

Then peered the indefinite unshapen dawn
With vacant gloaming, sad as half-lit minds,
The weak-limned hour when sick men's sighs are drained.
And while I wondered on their being withdrawn,
Gagged by the smothering Wing which none unbinds,
I dreaded even a heaven with doors so chained.

I am a badass, thanks. But that's a swing and a miss with pretentious. Firstly, you name-called AND answered my (I pointed it out for you!) rhetorical questions, proving you're an idiot. And that your only defense at being called out by someone more intelligent, mature and cultured than yourself is to say to them, essentially, "you are putting on airs" clearly shows you are shallow, lame, and ignorant.

Contribute or GTFO.
or post another embarrassing reply, whatever. I feel sorry for you, but I'm done allowing you to waste my time.
Oh, and have another reaction image. You clearly need all the help you can get.
