There are Freemasons who specialize in magic. They never get "high level" though... a cap is imposed. Also it's restricted to divination.
The structure of the system actually forces a tradeoff: you can be a fortune teller, but you can't ever attain wealth.
It's ridiculously technical shit and to be honest I've been able to do all teh same stuff without their system, but if you're interested you can usually find a copy of "Mystic Test Book" in most used bookstores.

I wouldn't listen to all the bullshit about needing to be "chosen." If you plan on looking this stuff up you can type "magick" instead of "magic" and you will probably get better results.
A couple things that are helpful to know are how the universe works (how chaos fits into everything) and what the pentagram represents. The 5 points of the star represent the 5 elements:

Well, I don't have much on the ways of magick.. in terms of books. I have a book about evocating spirits .. it also has some tips on astral projection and focusing during meditation.

You're having a bad day (or even week) and no matter how hard you try, for some reason things just don't go your way. Draw out fehu while in your mind putting the intention of giving yourself good luck.. It can be anywhere - a piece of paper, your hand, your foot, you get it. It doesn't have to be pencil or pen. It can be blood, sticks, a carving.. even use your fingernails to scratch it into your skin (you don't have to bleed or anything, just as long as it's there)
