The Canadian dialect in this video is really grinding my nerves. He also reads waaay too fast.

Here's how it's done:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFN400r5R0k

>with ambient music
>slow, clear voice
>>
>>17478625

I kinda' liked the story, but the guy needs to calm down.

This one has a few really good elements:
>the use of the elephant is original
>a guy who did the logical thing and actually got help for his clearly possessed shit was a nice touch
>making elephant noises is original and fitting

Negatives:
>blood and demon voices is terribly overdone
>mother character makes no sense

6/10 - pretty solid, but nothing exceptional. A few bright ideas held back by a few bad ones.

All I got, need to build up my collection again
>>
+
>pretty realistic, in terms of setting and characters
>good choice of music, and soothing voice
>ends on a nice note

-
>starts interesting but the little girl is a little cliched
>falls off near the end in terms of story

7/10 - quite good, but not perfect. A slightly better choice of "villain" would have bumped it up a point.
>>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPcFXYFR3ec
>>
>>17478901

Goodz:
>while not terribly clear in quality, more than makes up for it by adding voice effects
>Silent Hill soundtrack is always welcome
>cool and alternative setting
>surprisingly well written

Conz:
>poor ending
>while the spire was an interesting addition, the story ruined part of the mystery
>"black" is a terribly overused adjective

5/10 - functional, but nothing more. Could have been great, but it shat the bed in the last 20 seconds. Bonus points for actual voice-acting.
>>
>>17478858

Pros:
>images are nice
>doesn't strain too far from reality
>gave me the desire to play Hotline Miami
>not too long

Cons:
>no real conclusion, as is often the case with the "non fictional" ones
>greentext is hit or miss
>though realistic, not really believable

7/10 - good. Gets a few extra points for hitting that sweet-spot between "short" and "not too long". The picture is a very nice touch. The story would have been 4/10 without it.
>>
>>17478895

Was suppose to be for >>17478785. I don't know why I've taken it upon myself to review creepypasta ITT, but keep posting and I'll keep reviewing.
>>
>>17478869

Positive:
>a little on the long side, but never gets downright boring to read
>original and believable setting
>the paranormal-hobo mystique is nice

Negatives:
>could have used better editing
>a few slightly unbelievable phenomenon, like how spoopy-hobo managed to get a hold of a untraceable phone
>a little too much focus on what I think the author interprets as "world building"

6/10 - solid. A little hard to say why this one just doesn't work for me, but gets a few points for original concept carried out with some flaws.

Used to really like the "aussie/brit" voice for stories but they don't do much for me anymore

KingSpook and CPJ are god-tier imo, MapleCreepypasta is also good

Personal favorite was Penpal series for a while until I found this one, love the jail setting, the group story telling, it was really immersive

2 Parts I believe, one of the best stories I've ever heard
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oVo5gstTac
>>
>>17479047

Pros:
>a little long, but never slackened on pacing which is essential for these longer ones
>realistic, with sprinkles of the paranormal
>good use of music and effects

Cons:
>sometimes a little vague in terms of where the protagonist is in the house
>a little mystery is good, but sometimes too MUCH mystery is bad

8/10 - great. Probably one of the better ones posted. There's a few things that needed a little tightening up to make it amazing, but it wasn't far off.
>>
>>17479094

I'll check those out! And haven't heard that story either, so that'll be a new one for me!

Things like this are great. Another personal favorite is the Advent of Baneposting
>>
>>17479172

Pros:
>nice and shot, the way creepypasta should be, the more flavor-per-word, the better the pasta
>good pictures, especially the first one
>good attention to detail, though should have had more of it

Cons:
>a little inconsistent in tone, sometimes funny, sometimes spoopy
>second post seems a little dragged in
>poorly memetexted

6/10 - solid-to-great, but nothing grand. Could have used a little more detail, but hey, if it's all the guy remembered it's all the guy remembered.

Pros:
>very good pacing and literary skill, someone who's clearly written fiction before
>the attention to dates and times makes it feel a lot more official
>unique story with no real "monster"

Cons:
>gets a little stupid with the kid near the end
>almost too many dates and times, increments in dates would be easier to follow than the constant and specific times

9/10 - amazing. Very good story, told well, and presented well, with only a few flaws holding it back from brilliance.

Note to dumper: you're dumping a little quicker than I can read and review, so don't be upset if I don't catch all of them.

>>17479094
>>17478625
>>17478785
The black guy from Chilling tales for Dark Nights is pretty good imo.
>>
>>17479195

Good sides:
>detailed, and told with "personality"
>lots of characters where only the good ones are actually focused on
>very realistic reaction to the situation they're in
>not the first tale I've read on the topic and it's nice to see continuity

Slightly less good sides:
>long as fuck, and unstructured, the latter could easily have been fixed
>lots of spelling errors and "dialect" - unsure if this is suppose to add to the tone
>a little poor pacing near the beginning

7/10 - good. Not bad in any sense, and quite close to an 8, but the poor spelling, the lack of a readable format and some odd literary choices drag it down from possible greatness.'

>>17479259

My nigga!
>>
>>17479201

Pros:
>nice to see a story that doesn't BASK in the paranormal, spoopy can be spoopy without monsters
>consistent tone and feel throughout
>realistic

Cons:
>another long one, too many creepypastas don't grasp that "short and sweet" is usually better than "long and shit"
>this one isn't shit though, it's just not as unique as some of the monster-stories
>crazy people coming for you in the rain isn't really all that original

5/10 - solid. Nothing wrong with realism, but make it too realistic and it stops being scary. Murderers and psychos are all fun and good, but they rarely (IMO) make for incredibly pasta.
>>
>>17479298

>>
>>17479305

Pros:
>aww, yeeeeah, now we're talking
>oddly well-phrased, proper punctuation and consistency in the memetexting
>weed lmano

Cons:
>sounds like something made up by someone stoned off their ass
>not really all that scary
>phones

7/10 - great. Short and sweet, with a good spook-per-word ratio for some tasty pasta! Biggest drawback is that it isn't really all that scary.
>>
>>17479222

Pros:
>very detailed and well enough written to properly punctuate and spell, which is always nice
>one of the few that felt as if it really NEEDED to be a long pasta, and wouldn't have worked as well if cut down
>pictures are always a plus

Cons:
>still long as shit, but as mentioned, slightly forgivable in this case
>takes a while to build up

8/10 - great. A lot better than I expected from this long and drawn-out story, that ultimately turned out to be a worthy read.
>>
>>17479222
I really would have preferred if this just ended when he left the house. Making it stalk him or whatever was kind of lame.
>>
>>17479347

Does anyone know of a pasta called "The Sidewalk" I believe? I found it in early 2012, it was a thread saved on the old chanarchive, now long defunct.

This pasta, I assume it was a work of fiction, detailed the experience of a group of friends as they explored a paved path seemingly leading nowhere in the wilderness. There was an urban myth about this "sidewalk" leading to a ruined old mental institution and these kids followed it with much creepiness ensuing. It was really well written and somewhat humerous too, best pasta ever.

Unfortunately I accidentally erased most of my saved archived threads in 2014 thus losing this masterpiece. Can't find it on Google, just a shitty YouTube pasta sharing the name.

All the best.

The POW camp let him send a letter back home but he was forced to say that they were treating him well and yadda yadda. He wrote the truth on the back of a stamp (that they had forcefully amputated his legs) and dropped subtle hints to his mother to remove the stamp and read the secret message on the back. The reference to "little Timmy" was just a way to make it seem less suspicious that she was being told to peel off the stamp.

Have enjoyed reading through a few experiences here. Most seem pretty fake to me though.

What always bothers me with these stories is the lack of evidence, detail of location, or anything with which we could investigate.

When I was 11 or 12, I swear my friends and I saw... something. Something big, and black, swoop into a tree. Like, fucking huge.

Not sure what it was, but three people I was with saw the same thing and could describe EXACTLY what I saw and heard with no prompting.

We were all edgy little faggots experimenting with Wicca. This was in broad daylight in a playground on hundreds of people.

Yet we all saw this, thing, and heard a really strange sound. Like, a whip being cracked next to my ear. A friend recoiled in pain and had a fuck huge headache. It was loud as fuck, yet nobody else in the playground heard it.

I am 24 now yet I still swear by this to this day.

Just wanted to get it off my chest.

There's been some good stuff in this thread, OP. I hate skinwalker stories just as much as the next guy, but the entire thing hasn't been like that. Heck, the White Man thread one guy posted was pretty good, even though it was another "creature" story.

Don't feel bad about it. You've at least entertained me.

Does anyone know or heard of a creepypasta named the Path or something similar? It's supposedly about a kid who kills his sister and is very graphic. Mr. Nightmare on youtube took it down because he said it was too intense. I'm just curious to read it and haven't been able to find it anywhere.

i assume that's how you preserve a stamp for a stamp collection without damaging it? philatelists please advise

You hold the stamp part of the envelope over the spout of a boiling kettle. The steam affects the gum used to adhere the stamp and it comes away from the envelope so you can put it in your collection.

We Could do Nothing but Lie Down

I remember the day the spider-like creatures swarmed out of their holes and covered the moon's surface. NASA telescopes captured high definition video of the masses of creatures, throbbing and heaving as far as the eye could see. They were as big as cars and I nearly lost my mind when I caught a glimpse of them on the news.

I remember the ensuing months as humanity reacted to the presence of new life in our solar system. Many wanted to nuke the lunar surface until it was glass. Others wanted to make peace. Some worshiped them as gods. Personally, whenever I looked up at the moon, brownish red with the skittering bodies of monsters, I could barely stop myself from shaking.

I remember when CNN broke footage of the creatures building massive ships on the surface. They were intelligent. This was enough to cause near panic. They were coming to us.

I remember the day they sent their first message. The sound was harsh and guttural and interspersed with a horrible clicking. Top linguists around the world were called in to translate.

I remember two weeks later when the brownish red tint of the moon gave way to the milky white we had almost forgotten as the monsters entered into their ships. Earth was on high alert, all nations’ armies prepared for assault. And then the ships took off and left in the opposite direction.

And I remember the next day, when the linguists finally decoded the strange message and played it for the whole world to hear: “If you value your lives, run.”

No, it's you who need to learn a few things about English, you dumb motherfucker. "Literally" can and always has had its meaning stretched to convey "virtually", it's an officially approved usage of the word that has existed forever. Why would IT be the only word that couldn't be used hyperbolically? People who try to sound smart by calling people out on their perfectly legitimate use of the word literally are nothing but memester faggots who want to sound smart by repeating what other people told them and never doing any research of their own. Hey, anyone remember a story that would get posted every now and then? It was 3 or 4 parts (separate images) and I'm positive it was white text on black. It wasn't a true pasta, with spooks and such.

The story was something about this virus infecting a town, the protagonist is in college and is immune to the virus. He lives with his professor and a younger girl. The city gets quarantined, the hospitals are packed, that's all I can remember.

If anyone has a link or could post it, that'd be amazing. I've been looking for a couple of years. Curious if I'll still like it, if it was as good as I remember it. Thanks in advance.
